Steve, 15 Mar 2012This is why Android is a fragmented useless mess. No matte... moreIf you are guaranteed to have at least 2 major update for a phone, is simple means that they are selling the phone when it is not in the optimized state. Phrase it nicely is future proof, else is just half baked.
For high-end phone we understand that sometime hardware capacity exceed software requirement, so it may have a update or two later in it software which is pretty good, but also means that you are buying technology that are not yet ready......
some food for thought i guess....

This is why Android is a fragmented useless mess. No matter what Android phone you buy, you can never be sure if you will ever get a major update.
At least with iOS you are guaranteed at least 2 major OS updates over a 2 year period.

Would just like to ponder as to why there are so many people having a go at each other on here? End of the day, we buy a phone because we like the looks, specifications etc etc etc....
If the handset that you have bought then later gets an upgrade on software, brilliant! If not, you are simply left with the device that you originally must have liked when you paid good money for it.
Now I am chuffed to bits that my sensation is on the list, but if it wasn't, I would merely be a bit disappointed, I wouldn't go lambasting HTC for it.
Question to those people whose handsets are not on the list and are moaning about it - if you were not happy with the device when you bought it, why the hell did you buy it!

yes my phone is old but it is no excuse to give ics for DHD and not for Desire z 800processor? well why the f you downgraded it? they can put it back to 1 or even more... because everything DHD handles, Desire z handles 2 ... they have so much (almost) same roms... so htc sorry but desire z is practically same as dhd you are just to lazy to mess with Hw keyboard :))
