Samsung announces Exynos 990 with 120Hz display support

Warning:
The Exynos 990 uses 11 cores of the Mali G77 GPU, the maximum number of cores for that particular GPU is 16 and even then it can not beat the Adreno 650 GPU that will be used in the Snapdragon 865. If you buy the Exynos version of the S20, S20+, or S20 Ultra then you've been had, you've been bamboozled, you've been played. Only the North American and Chinese versions of the aforementioned phones are worth buying because they use the Snapdragon 865 SOC. Do not even think about emulation of playing the latest mobile games at 60 FPS if you buy the Exynos verson because it is not going to happen the hardware is too weak... You'll also want to replace your phone sooner because it will become obsolete faster if you buy the Exynos version. Whether you're willing to pay more for less is up to you. Samsung phones in my experience cost more outside the US while having weaker hardware than their US counterparts.

For now any midranger with good enough specs like Redmi note 8 pro or Honor 20 is awesome enough.

1. There are 120Hz screens already but not in a Smartphone because the SoCs couldn't support it because it wasn't needed. Its still not neeeded we have nothing to run 120Hz onn a 6 inch phone screen. And even if we will have 6 inch screen is too small to spot any differences. And even if we spot them they will be so small than noone will bother because get a much more costly device to have nothing special or extra worth the spent money.
2. In 2019 a lot of 90Hz Smartphones came to market and since the market is becoming incredibly competitive I assume we'll see a 120Hz smartphone next year. More than 60HZ devices we have for many years but we dont have yet and we wont have soon any app or something liek that tu run at 120 HZ and eve we will have some apps it will be few so not everyones forte and as i said above on a 6 inch screen it will make no major difference worth the effort of wasting few xxx hundredrs bucks havig it.
3. The 2020 iPhone is said to have a 120Hz OLED (@iceuniverse) so samsung can't miss out on this feature this time. the 90Hz was just a bridge gap and samsung manufactured most of these screens and used other OEMs as testers (i.e. they can learn from Googles mistakes). With that knowledge they will jump right to 120Hz, because 90Hz is just nonsense. Man nowdays and like always apple is the most costly phone company which sells phones. Made in china for 300 bucks and sold for 1500.
Since Jobs is gone less and less people support this greedy manufacturer because apart the costly device people gets nothing worth the money spent.
4. Snapdragon 855 supports 192MP cameras. Is that useless to? No, Qualcomm built the SoC by other demands and it happend to be so good that it supported it anyway so why not sell it as a additional feature/bonus? Man even if this is true we have no 192 Mpix cameras. Ad when we will have 200 mopix or above we will have maybe SD 875 or better, And nobody will use 2-3 years old CPU. Like in this year no device came with SD835 or so.
Stop crying because you cant't afford anything, start working harder and just be happy technology is going forward. Lastly my friend.
I run a phone sop with 40 stores around my country if i really want i can buy even apple by caviar but why to spend money on something which have no value for me.
Like every of our customers they looking for best possible device for best possible price.
Average salary here in slovakia is around 600-700 euros from which haklf goes to taxes and bills. If you really thinks people willl spend yearly sallary on a phone which will last maybe 2 years and gets old and burden you are very complete useless and clumsy.

Besides, Samsung always gives a Beefy battery unlike the Pixel. And fast charging will get your battery topped up in no time.
But the user experience in games as well as the UI is enhanced. It's just better. Plus AI does a great job of increasing and decreasing refresh rates as per requirement to further conserve more battery.
