Modem is not integrated to the chip? Doesn't that make is less efficient than Exynos 980? And, I think this is the first 5G modem that supports mmWave.

i really can't see the hype of a very high refresh rate when the battery usage will suffer?! maybe on the galaxy note so that there is no latency between the s-pen on the screen

only those youtubers tech guys are the ones hyping this high refresh rate when the use for it is just visual, nice to look at your screen while the battery drains fast

Anonymous, 24 Oct 2019Yes, very much so. In Brussels, Belgium they banned it. Man... moreThis is pure BS.

In physics the higher is the frequency the faster it loses its energy. 5g can only cover a smaller area than 4g because even a small piece of paper could block it. By thid logic 5g would actually be safer.

And DNA can only be damaged by high energy ionized radiation. Which is in very low frequencies which can carry that energy over longer distance and through most materials. Like gama radiation and UV radiation.

In short you are more likely to get skin cancer from the sun or Chernobyl than 5g

So is this a midrange processor or flagship
The specs beat the exynos 9820

If this is just a midrange then the 9830 might have a chance against the 865

Samsung's M4 core is slower than stock A76 and Kryo 485 cores in almost every single use case scenario, while drawing higher power than them. Don't get fooled by Exynos' high GB single core score, there's a reason why Samsung is ceasing the development of their custom core design. It just sucks.

-unique design that's never seen before
-priorities to having more features instead of removing them (2 USB C ports, headphone jack, dual front stereo speakers, etc.)
-no screen cutout, high refresh rate, HDR capabilities, low input latency, enhanced performance, large battery, great-looking LED lights
-reasonable price for what it offers

Imagine if every flagship phone is like that. Then the customers would have even harder time picking their wants, in a way that they would love to get all of them.
Nowadays, every smartphone looks similar. Be it in the camera arrangement, choice of materials, screen cutout, they don't have their own identity anymore.

It can be said that the custom cores developed by Samsung are less practical, but the fact can never be denied that they have the potential to beat Apple chips, which has been a leader for some 4 years already.
