A very well done article. The Note 10+ is the ultimate reliable and non comprising beast. I'm currently using a S10 but am considering getting the Note+ before the S11 comes out.

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2019I would agree with this every year.... but at this point...... moreCamera is a big thing for everyone. If the camera doesn't deliver, I don't further look into it.
(GCam ports don't count.)

I would agree with this every year.... but at this point.... I'd say get the asus rog phone instead. I'll miss the spen... but the screen is almost as good with a couple advantages. The speakers, having a headphone jack, and battery life are far greater. The performance and thermal control are better.
I'll miss the spen. But spen, camera, and some features are about all the note has over it... for double the price.

These days people are sooo invested in specs that they forget about the whole smartphone experience
Galaxy Note has strong specs but the all round experience it provides is comparable to none
It's a top notch device period

Everyone is keen to forget that the Note 10 has a terrible pwm controller on its display, it’s what’s responsible for brightness control on oled panels. This is why for people with sensitive eyes it is much faster to cause strain then say the iPhone 11 Pro duet

Hate to nitpick but again that ridiculous "mole" on the screen took any seriousness out of my consideration especially if we're to talk about a proper optimized stylus use. Now essentially there's a glaring percentage of the screen loss due to Samsung's insistence on keeping the instagram hipsters happy just because of a front cam placement. There's a Note and then there's the S models for a reason... well clearly that was "before"...
If they had just kept the Note 9's design instead with the 10's batt size it'd win way more upgraders.

Well that's an opinion article...
I think that besides objective specs the smartphone is a daily companion with whom one has to feel good.
Being a very happy Galaxy Note 8 owner, I obviously feel good with Notes and the Note 10 would have been an easy choice, if I were to change. But still, I understand anybody who would feel good with an iPhone, an One plus, a pixel à Huawei etc without having to explain themselves.

You compare it to OnePlus 7 Pro but don't mention the 90Hz display.
Wow. Extremely misleading and dishonest.

Most of the times, sites try to be politically correct.
Other times, sites need to take a leap, be brazen, let the authors know about their choices and what they look for.
This is one such article.
Keep it up, I hope to see more of these in the years to come!!

It lacks a 90Hz screen. That's a pretty big deal breaker.
There, that already disqualifies or from being the top dog.

I agree with this post. Samsung is cool yet it doesn't compromise on features.
The headphone jack? None of the competetors offers it so it's not a point to whine about. The jack is never coming back.

I think there is no "THE best phone". Thats bcoz no phone ticks ALL the boxes. Even a phone as expensive as Note10+ will hv shortcoming(s) such as the absence of headphone jack. Removing it to gain extra space for other component is a total crappy excuse.
It all goes down to what extend can a user compromise.
