5 inch screen size would be ideal.4.8 to 5.2 is the best option.Also screen should occupy most of it,so that device is smaller,should have good battery back up and a good RAM.

I think 4.0" is my sweet spot, but 3.7" to 4.3" screen sizes will fit the human hand best.

I would agree but larger screens means that the battery goes quicker. 3.7 - 4 inches IMO is a good compromise between size and battery usage.

so whats everyone think of the 5.5" new samsung note 2 an thats actuall screen size as for screen size an how it affects you for work anyways depends on your job an for those 8 hours weather its on your pocket or bag an 8 more hours your asleep plus about 3 hours its in your hands i think it depends what your buying for if your gaming then stick to console because phone battries cant handle gaming an never will an browsing the net on phone is gd but it doesnt beat a laptop so unless they can bring out a fold away 15" phone screen phones are usless i personaly use my phone for call, txts,calculator, an time maybe pictures now an again mobiles really do to much now ive been to the pub a resterant beach cinema an we spend more time playing with phone than interacting with actual people an people feel usless without there phone less people are enjoying themselfs now then befor mobiles came along plus we get lazier instead of poping round to see a mate we call them just so we dont have to leave the house anyways gotta dash people to visit bye all

I have a S.E Xperia Mini with a 3 inch display and 480x360 resolution, and I'm happy with it.

3.5 inches is the bare minimum and fits easily in my hand. Anything below that (my Xperia X1 and HTC legend) is a pain to use. I don't think I'll ever want anything bigger than my Galaxy S2 (4.3"). As most people said 4" fits perfectly. R.I.P. Xperia X10. I promise not to brick another phone

I have a Samsung galaxy S i9000 which has a 4.0 screen size.. i think it's a perfect screen size for many.. Screen size more than 4.0 will be too big to carry and difficult to fit in your pocket..if you're more into gaming and watching video then, probably a bigger screen is preferable...U will always look for a bigger screen after using a small screen size...i am also planning to switch to SG2..

This is all about preference.
If someone prefers a 5" screen then good for them. If someone prefers 3.5" screen then equally. Good for them.
I cannot understand how some children on here seem to get upset because someone likes a different size screen to them....!!
Calling someone an idiot for liking a 3.5" screen is in itself idiotic.
& for the record.
Anyone who spells Boys as Bois is automatically in the idiot category, no questions asked.

MY PREFERENCE: Like the size of my XPERIA X8's screen (3"), but could get someting up to 4".
Bigger than 4" - too big
Smaller than 3" - too small (for a touch operated phone and videos)
