Based on a conversation had at the end of last year between Apple’s CEO Tim Cook and Samsung Electronics’ Chief Operating Officer Lee Jay-yong, the Korean company will be a key supplier of Apple until the end of 2014.

every large company is hand in hand witch the other one , and all of them together are under the i..uminat1 control , the sue etch other only to give a false impression . their main target is to control and know everything that you do , ios and android , windows , linux and other sutch as , are made for your control .

Who makes it should not be cared about ...who Designed it is all what you may want to know and its Apple. We all know that...Apple is know for its best Designs now matter if its Software or Hardware. Manufacturing / Labor and all that Crap is not an end user's business ...not sure why people just relate one to the other...

@claudX, samsung was chosen because it had the only screen that is up to the task/performance for the iPad. Neither sharp nor LG could've passed all the requirements

Shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody that Apple use a Samsung LCD. Apple is not a component manufacturer and will source any component from best & most economical supplier.
As for whether to battery is 42.5 WH or 43 it doesn't really matter as this will only be the nominal capacity when new. Makes very little difference (tiny) to operating time.

43Whr battery, instead of the 42.5Whr Apple has disclosed. And if you are more of a mAh person, the capacity of the iPad 3 battery is 11,560mAh.
This is not true. MacBook Pro Has 7500mAh

Apple invented it, then looked for the best average between labor price and quality to make it real... this time Samsung Won that price/quality fight over others... but remember That LG won the iPhone 4 same fight a couple of years ago. They have the tech, but someone patented it first. So they must invent something different to compete... that's when Samsung Super Amoled come to life.

Why the surprise of samsung doing the screen?? This means that Samsung is the best option of the cheap labor/quality sector... nothing more... If samsung is winning the "cost per screen done" its ok... Remember when iPhone 4 appeared, LG won that place. Not surprise at all... it's business...

simple question: why samsung didn't use this lcd panel for their tablet, before ipad 3? if they are capable to do such thing, why didn't use it for samsung products? the net profit obtained by samsung selling this panel in an apple tablet is bigger than selling in a samsung tablet?? i do not understand.
