I think 80% of the mobile users just seem to agree on that. If Apple makes 80% profit that does not bother Android users. If Apple users feel proud of this, I have no problem with that. But smarter ones will go after the value proposition. Well do do people have the luxury of overlooking this fact.

No hope for Apple. Everyone will said oh yaaa.. Apple Power.. But end up with Frustration. Apple is died after Steve Jobs!

If anything, that makes iOS users rich, and outside that you can't draw any other conclusions from it. Besides, blaming the consumer is never a good tactic to make.

Both companies are out to make as much profit as possible. It simply means Apple is more successful, or better at it. This shouldn't have any implications for consumers, it only concerns investors. As a consumer, you should spend your profits/money on the platform that you prefer or gives you more value.

because of US ban huawei couldn't release Kirin 990 with new cortex-A77 and mali-G77 arch from ARM this year so Mate 30 series and probably P40 would be affected , cause no one would see a margine upgrade from kirin 980 or sd855 to kirin 990.

the big hit will comes when qualcomm release their next snapdragon chip with arm newest arch , then we would see a big gap between flagships , not to mention there's no alternate to google services

My last 5 phones: Huawei P10 lite, Huawei P10, Samsung S9+, iPhone 8 plus, Samsung A20e.
Even though they are part of different categories, in day to day usage, all had the same speed.
There are some differences in softwares, but performance wise, they were all the same to me.
Smartphones came a long way, a 200$ can easily handle day to day tasks as an 1000$ one, if you are not into heavy usage or fancy little things, that please the eye but empty your wallet.

Martin, 31 Oct 2019Huawei would've become the number 1 smartphone maker if it ... moreNo, its opposite. From what we have been told, when the US put the ban on huawei, a huge amount or maybe it safe to say that 90% of china population buy the huawei phones. Some of companies in the country go as far that they will give their employees some bonus if they own huawei phones. All of that just to show what they call 'patriotism'.

So if it's not because of the ban, huawei cannot go as far as now. Of course they will sell and have a growth but not with this big increase.

The point is, the ban is actually helping huawei, fortunately.

[deleted post]I am pretty sure , he said half of the truth like 24fps , Pro mode.. , but he does exaggerate a lot
                        there's no perfect company

And the funny thing it made me think of the 20/80 Rule. It was something along the lines of:
iOS 20% of sales, but 80% of profits.

As opposed to Android; doing 80% of the sales, but making only 20% of profits.
...so yeah, Apple is playing at a different level compared to Sony, Samsung, LG, Lenovo, Xiaomi, BBK, Huawei, ZTE.

                                Profits matter much more.

It is pointless when A sells 50% more than B, but B earns 200% more money per unit sold compared to A.

Samsung kills it in the mid range segment with its new A series. Smarter way by using branding recognition over chinese branded device, with competitive pricing & specs.

Whats more surprising are on Huawei increasing sales over the year, eventhough banned in US since Mate 10 series with additional US entity blacklist issue this year. Its for sure climbing up fast. I dont even surprise if they surpass Samsung this year if not because of the ban in the first place. As of now Huawei's future is uncertain on next year 2020.

Sony? As usual, belong to 'others'.
