I have a note 10 plus and get annoyed sometimes on how big the phone is. I will definitely get this phone for its compact design. Just wish they put a SD855 in this

This is how you make a foldable phone. It looks stunning.
I admire how Motorola is keeping the design from the original.
It doesn't look like a generic smartphone folded into half.
I'm excited for this. Good job, Moto!

I'll be supporting Motorola for this because I want the flip phone / clamshell form factor to make a comeback. Motorola made some amazing designs throughout the 00s before the iPhone was released. Aren't people already tired of the glass sandwich slab designs? So fragile! And a bunch of fingerprint magnets.
I would also love to see sliders made a comeback. What I mean with sliders is more like the Nokia N97, N900, and Xperia X1. Not the LG Chocolate design. I want to see a second display underneath instead of a real physical QWERTY. Then you can tilt the one above it. We need more creative designs. Not the same ol', same ol'.
Fragile glass sandwich slabs need to finally go away. Let's go back to the tough plastic OEMs used from the 90s and 00s.

Really $1500 only? Motorola is leaving so much money on the table. With a name like Motorola or Lenovo they could be charging $2000 easily.

Motorola is transporting us some of us back to the pre-iPhone era (2004-2006). The concerns is taking photos and even watching videos and playing games on this. It's going to feel awkward. So many of us are used to the slab design for so long. Even using it for GPS will feel weird.
With all that said, I still would love to revisit the flip phone. Transport back to 15 years ago when they were all the rage. People forget Motorola had the best designs for them. I do think we're better off waiting for its successors. I remember regretting not waiting for the RAZR V8 & V9 or even the V3i which could sync to iTunes.
Foldable display technology is still very expensive. Better off waiting for its successors. They will definitely be better and cheaper. I wouldn't really pay more than $500 for a flip phone with a touchscreen that folds inside. Even texting is going to feel weird typing off such a narrow, tall display like the recent Xperias.
RAZR seems more of a novelty right now. But a fun novelty to revisit. And hey, we can protect our screens now by closing it! While the Surface Duo and Galaxy Fold could start a real revolution with form factors. The price has to be right if Motorola wants this RAZR to succeed since it carries so many questions.
