04 November 2019
The Exynos 9830 will likely be the first chipset to ditch the Mongoose custom cores.

Anonymous, 05 Nov 2019Um the mongoose 1st and 2nd generation cores were stronger,... moreWho told You first generation of mongoose are better I used all mongoose generation of Exyons since galaxy S6 till S10 plus Exyons 9820 and there’s no comparison 4th generation are a lot better than first and second generation with almost no throttling and overall excellent performance even for gaming except for few games like PUBG that not important anymore.

Well, Exynos will have good performance without it. Just like Kirin SoC's.

No wonder, Mongoose cores was major dissapointment in last coupke of years comparing to Snapdragon competition

Finaly Qualcomm was a lot betetr anyway.

Its so funny gsm Is full of noobs ignorants and haters. They know nothing about tech but comment. Even Qualcomm use standard arm-cortex A core for theirs mid ranges socs...Huawei kirin socs then use basic cortex -A core even theirs cpu is customised. Mediatek the same. So what is the problem if samsung is genuine arm-cortex core for theirs socs? Let me explain for the ignorants. Arm cortex architecture is the standard. Mongoose core of exynos is just a custom version of cortex-A cores. So keep calm haters exynos is not dying, samsung mobile divison too. Just mongoose core are remplaced by cortex (A77 i suppose)

The last Oracle, 05 Nov 2019People have strange reactions without understanding enough.... moreThat nice rant of yours would make sense of the exynos chips in 8 out of 10 generations were not overall superior in most ways.

Not to mention simple common sense that making a jump to custom designed large cores would take a coulle tries to get a more mature and refined design.
And many other jumps like multicore or when apple moved onto designing large vores at forst also suffered. In heat, throttling, and efficiency.
Its nothing new. Could they have done better? Especially with the kernel and scheduler? Duh. But its no where near this monumental failure people claim. Thats just childish.
And any one deciding that it failed and not seeing the ulcoming potential and refinements clearly has no clue about the matter. And clearly should not be making such a decision.

Cutting them off like that is what makes anything spent the last couple years on this the most wasteful and meaningless.

About time, it will not remove the exynos incompatibility issues but will reduce the annoyances a bit. Last samsung i had i waited so long for apps to work that the phone was outdated before half if it were patched. Which in turn drive me to iPhone, would have done it much sooner had i known how flawless and incredible fast iPhones were/are, but i still buy android phones like every two years, only HTC with high end snapdragon to avoid the cascading compatibility headaches from kirin and exynos.
