It has the biggest camera sensor and the highest resolution. It's photos are really good during the day but at night they need some tuning to look 2019 era.
It's a sign of what's to come for me. It's exciting

As for IR blaster Xiaomi is the way to go, but considering only TV has one and all my other smart decices work via my faster wifi network I would not miss the IR blaster at all.

Megapixel count means nothing if it can't process the information, time will tell when there's been enough people putting it through some proper testing, and not just marketing bs and a spec sheet.
Anyone know what the actual optics quality is like on Xiaomi? I don't mean just say they are good or bad, but anyone tested edge to edge sharpness, chromatic aberration, detail rendition.
I know it's just a smartphone but if companies are going to start bragging they better actually up their game from adequate to real quality, that can stand up to pixel peeping

Now let's see whet they can do with a proper flagship. And I'm eyeing the galaxy s11 for that matter too. New sensors with proper soc may result in another leap in photo quality.

Not sure if my calculation is correct.
I think this sensor has 12mm diagonal.
Being 4:3 would give area between 69-70 mm2.
Camera of Mate30 Pro has 38mm2, while Sony/Apple/Samsung/Google use 24mm2.

The 1/2.55" has 24mm2.
I think this one has more than 60mm2.
The 1/1.2" from nokia 808 has about 83mm2.

I'm still not a fan of Samsung camera sensors,
And the battery life of this phone is worse than expected 95hr rating.....
But hopefully we get more big camera sensors like this next year that forces bigger batteries

I think you're mad, not Xiaomi. These 2 things are really helpful and practical where I live and at most of the places. Or do you want everyone to copy crApple and remove these 2 essential features too among others?

It's the best camera right now, but S11 is probably going to be even better.
I just wish they made a larger sensor. 1/1.33 inch sensor of Mi Note 10 is big, almost double the size of 1/2.55 inch sensor of S10, Iphone, and pixel. But it would certainly be even better if they put slightly bigger 1 inch sensor. Maybe samsung S11 will have 1 inch sensor. We will see.
