you should change your name from "the truth revealer" to "the triggered itroll"

Anonymous, 25 Nov 2019You go on and on about asking me how much is it selling , t... moreI am asking you about the sales numbers because you are the one who is telling me that Asus is selling like "hotcakes" again and again without any proof. Unlike Samsung and Apple, whose sales numbers are reported by Counterpoint's report. And many others.
I am least concerned about Asus sales numbers because I "know" they are not selling well. Why would I be concerned about something I know? Am I concerned about the sun rising in the east? No, because I know it will rise in the east, no matter what some "anonymous" person says.

I would any day believe MKBHD over you, lol. He has 9.6 million subscribers and does reviews for a living. You are an anonymous troller on GSMArena who perhaps has never even touched S10 but is not bold enough to accept it because you are a poor excuse of a troll.

"It's a Gaming phone but very well suited to most users as well" - Again, I don't see anyone agreeing with you, sales or otherwise. So this further cements your troll status.

"Your part of the world is not the whole world. People are loving the device everywhere." - People are loving it, but certainly not buying it. Because it is a "niche" device like I have said from the beginning. And I already told that my experiences can't be used to draw generalizations. But you seem to think that what you buy is what the world buys.

"You probably watched some reviews on YouTube and came here to bark in the comment section while I own the S10 and ROG 2, and I prefer the ROG 2 as daily driver since it's just better." - Another laughable lie. "It's just better". Oh, that has me convinced!!
"Just Better" and "hotcakes" are the only words you use without facts. At least enhance your vocabulary. Typical lying troll barking as hard as possible in the comments section with zero proof of market-performance.

Btw, do you know how good the images are from GCam on Samsung? No, you did not try it on Samsung? Lol, because you have never used the GCam on Samsung in the first place. Because you don't HAVE a SAMSUNG S10. All your attempts to convince otherwise have fallen flat.

If you don't like Samsung's design and looks, why would buy it in the first place? You need to buy a device to judge its design and looks? Poor pathetic trolling attempt fails yet again with sound logic..

So you don't know the legit advantages of Apple and Samsung because perhaps Asus ROG 2 is your first smartphone ever that your parents gifted you so that you could use Whatsapp and click some pics. Sad.

Anyway, perhaps this is my last comment to a troll who is losing, and my vacation ends tomorrow. Pulling down a troll is generally a form of stress-relief. So thank you for that. Especially with your st*pid arguments, I did not even have to rely on Google much. You are an expert in making a fool of yourself. Maybe, I will reply to you once more. Maybe not.

Or maybe I will just use simpler replies because complex paragraphs in comments seem to confuse you a lot. Consider joining your 5-year old's school for a tutorial on reading comprehension.

Did you read mkbhd review on YouTube who called it a niche?
Coz he was the only one going on and on about the heaviness.

It's a Gaming phone but very well suited to most users as well.
Nobody said it is beating Apple and Samsung in sales since both those phones have a lot of marketing behind them. But it is selling like hotcakes. Your part of the world is not the whole world. People are loving the device everywhere.

You probably watched some reviews on YouTube and came here to bark in the comment section while I actually own the S10 and ROG 2, and I prefer the ROG 2 as daily driver since it's just better. Gcam gives me as good as Samsung photo quality in 97% condition. Don't like Samsung design and looks. Only legit advantage Apple and Samsung have over ROG 2 is water resistance.

Anonymous, 25 Nov 2019If you are so concerned about sales numbers, why don't you ... moreI am least concerned about Asus's sales numbers. I know for a fact that they are not even top 5. And I know ROG Phone 2 is selling well for a "niche" phone and is not beating Apple or Samsung anytime soon even though the smartphone market is just recovering from a slowdown globally.

Aren't you a hypocrite of the highest order? Who told you that Asus ROG Phone 2 is selling like hotcakes? Just because it is out of stock? Did you email Asus and got any sales numbers? NO? Does that mean your argument is based on YOUR observation and YOURS alone? Yes indeed. Your arguments are laughable and prove that you indeed are a troll. Not a good one too. Perhaps try to go to Phonearena comments section to gain some inspiration.
At-least I accepted that I was making generalizations. But you turned out to be a blind fanboy and a troll. BTW when you say Asus is doing well sales-wise then the onus falls on you to prove it, and not me. I can give you plenty of links showing Samsung's s10's and Apple's numbers. Heck, you can even Google it yourself. But before that, you will have to log out from your "troll-gle" account and start making sense sometime soon.

Perhaps your 5-year-old can teach you a thing or two about placing a good argument.

All you have done till now is to make up fake problems for Apple/Samsung while ignoring Asus's red tint issue and putting up arguments with ZERO logical backings.

I am sure Zenfone 6 would have sold more than ROG 2 because that phone is not confined to a niche.
You call me a hater when I clearly said that ROG phone 2 is the best in its "niche" i.e. gaming? Can't you even look for word meaning? You calling me a hater indicates your level of thinking.
Please take some time to come up with evidence. I know, I am expecting too much from a troll, but I would really like to be proved wrong.

You can call it like you want, but you lose something to gain something and that's the thing I don't accept lightly.
Call it whining if you want, but without people "whining" when something is done badly, there's never a change for the better.
120Hz is the future, yes. Like many things, foldables, graphene batteries, cameras under display. Some things are just not ready to go mainstream without sacrifices. I just don't like sacrifices in important areas, such as battery life. And we don't live in the future, we live now.
We have completely different points of view. You don't care about the things I care. And that's fine. I'm simply using my right to share my opinion and I do it to see counterpoints to that. I see yours, but it's not good enough for me. That's it.

I literally just mentioned in my previous comment that my generalizations are "limited" to my social circle and I accept that. This, in turn, means that my experience cannot reflect the market performance of the device.
But, you conveniently chose to ignore that statement, maybe because you are wrapped in you rog-Cocoon? Or perhaps comment ONLY for the sake of commenting something? In turn, you ended up posting what I already implied, with a bunch of exclamation marks. Good job, B+ for effort.

Out of stock automatically does not equate to good sales. That is business 101.

Try not to comment on things that you barely have any idea about (such as sales)? Or perhaps enquire about it from someone more knowledgeable before pretending to be someone who is well-informed?

If Asus was actually providing great features that were useful for most folks at half the price , then Asus's sales would be through the roof. And Asus is a big company, they can surely match supply and demand. Their brand might not match Apple or Samsung, but they atleast equal OnePlus and Xiaomi, and are ahead of phones like Realme, Vivo, Oppo etc.
Yet these phones do much better, and I comparing the offerings in the same price band.

I haven't seen an ROG Phone 2 in the wild yet. And I am referring to a number of tech savvy people who surround me.
Everyone appreciates ROG Phone 2, but most would not use it as a daily driver. A secondary phone perhaps.

Now, I agree, the argument can be put forth that my generalizations are limited to my social circle. And I accept that. But, overall, are there sales number that actually talk about the success of ROG Phone 2?
Absence of successful numbers / projected figures show that Rog 2 has not reached mainstream success. It is good, no doubt, but not as the only daily driver for most people.

You and I can continue to engage in this pointless debate, but the fact is consumers vote with their wallet, and at the end of the day, that is the ONLY vote that counts. Not the GSMArena website, not Engadget, not XYZ, just consumer wallet.
And as far as that important piece of evidence goes, it most definitely looks like Rog 2 is for a specialised market.

To use fast charging you need a charger and a power outlet right beside you. Some people are lucky to always be near them, some are not. That's why we have batteries, because we can't always use wired power.
And having 0% of battery when you could have 10% is a life changer in some situations.
