Please keep in mind that Samsung and HTC in general does not support ICS to all their lineup unlike Sony. If you want to move on, fine do it, but there's no guarantee in the end that they will receive the Next Jelly Bean or something. even Galaxy Note still waiting for ICS upgrade. Sony strive to give you the best, in expense of time. So if you can't honour that, so be my guest to leave the board.
Samsung got a headstart with Nexus Prime, so the code can be trickled quickly to GS2. Keep that in mind. But surely, their Galaxy S1 or less owner won't get the update unlike Sony. So be mature people. Good things come to those who waits.

For those own Sony(Ericsson) phone who hate Sony sell your phone NOW! We don't want to hear your unreasonable complain about your (maybe not owning any xperia) phone. I won't sell my Neo V. It's doing job very well.
And Samsung fan and HTC fan, most of Sony user phone know that you're jealous with our phone. If you're say you're not, why y'all bother commenting the news from this *bankrupt* company.(as y'all say).
And for GSMArena, if you are believe on Freedom of speech (or on neutral side) don't delete this comment. This comment doesn't have any racist or trolling or bashing.
Thank you

Thats ridiculous! I spoke to a guy on the chat in support and he said that they didn't even have a date for the Xperia S so i'll probably be waiting til the end of the year for mine if not longer knowing Sony! So whilst all the other manufacturers have been pushing ICS update out and some are even on 4.0.3 already with 4.0.4/4.0.5 on the way, Sony have their phones still stuck on GB 2.3.4/5/6 or 7! Excuses, excuses.

This is one of the reasons why I dumped my X10... the updates that took forever to come! I went from Donut, to Eclair and then Gingerbread through XDA! Had it been for SE (back then) then I would still be stuck with Donut! Great thing I got me a GSII! I'm already running ICS! LOL

Sony's product support is always worse than any other company. Where Samsung galaxy S 2 already got the ICS update, the sony still struglling. Even Samsung tried to update the Galaxy S but for the low end config they had give up. I brought Nokia 5800 three years ago and still getting update after every few months. Sony should think about it very seriously if they have any target to catch more people. now a days people only buy sony phone because of the brand.
Shame Sony!!!

i dunno how to say,
many people were disappointed for this ICS thing..
but not me...
ICS seem very hard to handle...
stability is the point here
even for HTC and Samsung fans also dissapointing for ICS Update date..
HTC only released it for Sensation
and Samsung only released it for Galaxy S II
and it also delay and delay...
so, be patient and enjoy your GB.. :)

I'd rather they took their time and did a good job of it than rushing. SE's Gingerbread is good anyway, and better than Google's buggy early ICS releases.
