YUKI93, 06 Dec 2019Very few smartphone cameras include telephoto, most brand w... moreMost phones lack telephoto because it more expensive than ultra wide and wide vs zoom is personal preference and depends upon the situation like in my case if I am traveling by road there are many farms and forest without wild life and many mountain ranges so yeah I would prefer ultrawide but if I'm in some event say a wedding or concert I would definitely prefer telephoto so instead of oems pushing quad and penta cameras with useless macro and depth sensor tbey should push triple camera with wide and telephoto

For comparison between Samsung 64MP and Sony 64MP... My pick for Samsung 64MP is VIVO NEX 3.
Lets see how Sony does.

Looking from the image it seems xiaomi want to brag about the lens can do sharp image from 16mp or maybe the 64mp image? i think sony had this too while a go from other news in gsmarena. Looking at sony case from huawei with 40mp sensor i think it will do pretty good as the video says, the 40mp in huawei phones does do wonder

Would like to see a face off between Samsung and Sony's 64MP Sensors. Btw, I believe Samsung's 2nd Generation 64MP sensor is on it's way (with a new CFA and even faster processing). Hopefully it improves and already great sensor.b

The only ulrrawide I think people will still use even after a long time will be the mate 30 pro's awesome big bright one. But people just want more field of view and don't give a crap about distortion.

765 doesn't need to be coupled with x55 modem it has integrated 5g modem ,wrong mention in article,it's sd865 that can be coupled but as per forcing of Qualcomm there is no option but to couple it with x55

If the Redmi K20 is one of their best s... moreThis doesn't kill the K20 since the price of k20 will be lowered upon release of k30 and new buyers that are contended with specs of k20 will be happy. The main reason I think is to kill their competitors. They can't beat xiaomi's pricing and time of release of new phones with new soc or camera sensor. They want to be the first to release such phones. And this is again advantage to the consumers, because we have basis as to pricing and performance for new soc or technology.

After SD 865 presentation do not think anyone should spent time on phones with 855+, Sony sensor 686 + SD 865 will be 2020 must have at flagmans. Best software write now on Android side has pixels but they have 100 year resrvs of Sony sensor 363. Pixel 5 will have 12.222 MP sensor 363.222

I don't get Xiaomi. If the Redmi K20 is one of their best selling phones and it is still selling like hotcakes, why try to kill it so soon? The K20 line was released in June for god's sake. The new sensor, the high refresh rate, the bigger battery, the better processor, the 5G capability... they definitely are throwing a lot of hardware into this phone, yet they have to use a cutout hole. If this phone had a dewdrop notch it would be a no brainer replacement.

People say that ultrawide is more useful than telephoto. Well sorry, but I would be more than happy to have a crisp and clear zoomed photo instead of a cropped ultrawide photo. Even from my own personal experience, I'm frequently using telephoto way more than ultrawide.
