Nokia's Linux efforts faced internal and external pressure, but they did deliver this jewel - only for it to be quickly discontinued in favor of WP7.

This device was not just ahead, this device is actually everything the wannabes this days call a smartphone and have no idea where it comes from. It is very sad Nokia went for Elop... very sad. This system could have brought us real innovation, not scrapp reused symbian copied design like ios or android. The only thing i am ashamed of, is the people that prefered cheap over innovation, and the funny part is, they still do, the difference being.. this time they actually think they are right.

    I was lucky enough to own one of these. The OS was definitely years ahead of IOS and android but just lacked a proper app store and decent marketing. The entire OS was gesture controlled, sort of how iPhones and androids are becoming gesture controlled now days.

      We definitely need a 3rd OS option in this day for our smartphones. I hope huawei does it, or any asian country
