AnTuTu announces the best performing Android phones for November

09 December 2019
Both the flagship and mid-range charts are overrun by Snapdragon-based devices - all but two phones have a Qualcomm chip at their heart.

And i wonder how it's still kicking asses even after coming with only sd855.

looks Asus has done it's part perfect. Zenfone is the only 6GB variant that have made it to the top 10.

Anonymous, 10 Dec 2019The mere fact that you didn't know the P30 is on Kirin 980 ... moreI did know the P30 is using Kirin 980, they've been using it since the Mate 20 so, WTF are you saying?
The Snapdragon 845 was announced in December 2017, then used in Q1 2018, the Kirin 980 came around Q4 2018, so it's more recent than a SD 845 but older than a Snapdragon 855.
Where did you read that I didn't know the P30 Pro is using Kirin 980?

Baykko, 09 Dec 2019I wonder why people shit on MediaTek so much. Since MediaTe... moreThey cheap, used by no name oem, on unoptimized state giving them "cheap" brand stigma

They tend to skimping out part especially gpu, put only lower numbers of cores but clock it to the moon, both means getting low performance while more heat and killing battery faster.

They often use cheaper lithography, and often hard to corporate with oem/Dev to giving them needed source for better rom. Qualcomn got CodeAurora to provide EVERYONE everything they need to build better rom for free (well, oem was buying a lot of patent license tho) while you must either pay MTK or by appeal of you Dev

Note. I got RN8PRO, for $214 it's AMAZING, tear apart all Games I throw to it, unbeatable set of feature ( camera, premium body, ip52, good signal, good GPS, 16hr SoT After I debloat junk). The only weakness is still no decent twrp support killing it's FULL potential but it might change in 2 weeks

The SD 845 uses semi-custom ARM Cortex-A75, the Kirin 980 uses Cortex-A76 just like the Snapdragon 855.
Anyway, do you own the Mate 30 Pro 5G, where did you get that score from?

I'm not talking performance mode - It's a 1-year old SoC that came out with the SD845, so it should be compared with it. Everything in the list that is ranking higher than p30 and mate 20 pro has snapdragon 855 or sd855+ inside.
The mate 30 pro 5G scores 470-480k in antutu and would be in top 5 if antutu didn't exclude all new models.

I don't see how the Kirin 990 would be in top 5 considering how low is the P30, but maybe that score is without performance mode.

Anonymous, 09 Dec 2019No huawei devices.. aint surprised the only reason they use... moreNah, Antutu just decided to omit Huawei and Honor from its results for some reason - probably due to its persona not grata status. Otherwise, the latest kirin 990 (7nm+) would be in top 5. And in Geekbench SD855+ can't touch it. The phones with SD865 will start coming out in the spring and then the other brands using it will regain their fastest android status until the next fall when the 5nm kirin comes out and again takes the crown. Btw, the $600 Honor v30 pro also has the updated kirin 990 inside and is essentially the cheapest way to get the fastest android cpu right now.

AnTuTu's site says the Redmi K20 Pro is 14th with 436k, and Mi 9T Pro 13th with 438k.

And there's the Tencent version of the ASUS ROG Phone 2 that is cheaper.
Did you see where is the Note10+ placed? This phone is the real shame here.
I'm still wondering where is the normal K20 Pro, I thought it would be on par with the OnePlus 7 but it's not even on the list.
And if the Premium version really have a SD 855+, that score is pretty low, even lower than some phones with normal SD 855.

Shadocx, 09 Dec 2019I don't see the K20 Pro, and Realme X2 Pro is still below R... moreMy point was that these were budget flagships which tbh aren't that far away from the phones you mentioned, the phones I mentioned are 300-400 less than the ones you mentioned

Since MediaTe... moreSD 820/821/835/845 were built by Samsung, not all Snapdragons are from TSMC, and I don't think this has anything to do about how they perform, Qualcomm makes semi-custom Kryo cores that are based on ARM cores, has their own Adreno GPUs, DPS, ISP, modems, etc
