I mean, it's... moreThe main problem lies within the fact that these phones are succeeding their half-a-year old K20 predecessor, which comes with a great AMOLED display. Though not 120Hz, it was something that made people consider it well.
And with 1080p resolution, I thought it would be possible that the K30 would then have the same 1080p AMOLED display but now at 120Hz like on the ROG Phone 2.
But now it turns out to be impossible for them as of now, which made the fans disappointed, as they were really expecting for something even better.
Add to the fact that the display now has a cutout, and all yet still doesn't retain any official IP Rating after removing a mechanical part, which is a weak spot of the phone.
All of these and it makes the K30 really confusing and questionable for its existence (same exact specs as previous K20, with update to 120Hz display and different camera system, but loosing AMOLED display and no-cutout display).

N... moreLCD is far superior to AMOLED in smartphones. No doubt about that, but the pill-shaped hole punch I could do without. I have AMOLED in my current device and it's the only part I'm not too happy with.
I want a phone with Mi Note 10 Pro's camera system and battery. The screen and body of upcoming K30, but minus the pill-punch and instead the K20's pop-up selfie. That would be perfect for me. For those actually using the selfie cam they could improve upon it, but still a pop-up. Finally, a decent chipset with 5G support. With regards to that massive camera sensor and computational photograpy, possibly even SD865 would be necessary. At least SD855.
Seeing as IPS is cheaper than AMOLED, it should be possible to make this in the same price range as Mi Note 10 pro, -/+ 600 USD and spend the extra bucks on chipset.

Make a K30 Pro with K20 Pro's body,back design,display(no punch hole shit) with 90Hz and 4500mah battery.

A monstrous size. I have a phone with heigh 152 and I already feel it as a bit tooooo long. This one is 165 .... tooo long. It is a tabletphone.

Honestly I don't know why all the hate on LCD. I mean, it's 120 hz. This was obviously made as a cheap gaming phone. They even re added the expandable storage. LCD isn't that much of a turn off considering the price mad other specs.

I'll wait until the Mi Note 10 5G or other equivalent phone with all its features, quality cameras plus 5G is released, even if its a flagship despite the brand. Unfortunately it seems that the wait will be long. With a bit of luck Xiaomi will do that.

For anyone concerned about the specs of the K30 pro... It will have 865 as well as either 8 or 12 GB Ram.
The K30 Pro also will be shipped with an Amoled display.
Also will come with the X55 5G modem dual band modem. Nsa and sa.
And a few more surprises. K30 is a stunning phone. K30 pro and pro premium are going to be something else... Wait until you have the 865... Moveover A13...

No color shift curve at different brightness because oled doesn't have independent backlight for high refresh rate
No pixelated screen like pentile oled
Faster/more reliable legacy fingerprint reader
Upgraded camera sensors
Stronger chipset
No own own flicker
LCD screens rule, listen to these oled worshipers bash LCD while they have LCD PC,laptops and TVs at home loool

I will wait to see what K30 Pro has in it's spec sheet before getting a new phone. Better wait till next year.

The K20/K20pro is popular because of the super AMOLED screen and full screen with no holes. Those are its unique qualities. Why didn't they build from that?

This phone looks stunning... Can't wait for the 865 Amoled 12/16GB version. Some would consider this as a downgrade compared to the k20. I personally see this as an upgrade.
And as I say. When k30 pro premium comes out... Forget your iPhones...

Sorry but the Redmi K30 is a joke considering that there is the Redmi Note 8 Pro.
Even they seems to use the same LCD.
And the fingerprint placement is simply bad.
Sorry Xiaomi, but the K30 was unnecessary.
The K30 5G on the other hand is the one people expected, but the screen and frame killed the hype
