Saying goodbye to Windows 10 Mobile: Microsoft ends support for its mobile OS

One small part of Windows 10 Mobile will live on for about a year longer, though - its Office apps will continue to be supported until January 2021.

That has been a long overdued demise. This platform has been dying 2 years since it was released. Microsoft seems to not care much, didn't push that much for its app store.

well... that's a pity... there were only two professionals oriented phone os's. one is gone. the other one is not android....

Nokia was doing a hard work to bring dev to WM10, joining to the platform, BBM, path, even candy crush and Instagram.
But here, MS just lazy to move their a55es.
