Typical. Microsoft finally gets the phone game right, but then has to pull the plug on it.
I've loved mine since I got it (Lumia 640) - I'm still using it as my primary phone, even though Whatsapp support has now ended.
If I compare my Lumia 640 (had it 5 years now) to the Galaxy J7 Pro I've also been using since 2017, the J7 looks so much more weathered, and I don't abuse my phones.
The 640's build quality is just that good.
And if my future options are Android or iPhone, I'm strongly considering a potato phone again...

But i love windows phones more than KAI OS or OS in feature phones such as button phones Nokias for example or Energizer E12 or Cat B26.
And even this very basic OS i would love and prefer lot more than IOS which i definitely dislike. Is the worst OS ever seen on a cellphone.
Even functionality of first phones back in 70s era i would prefer more than IOS.

Had they challenged BB in it's pre-Android days this might have turned out so much different. Sell it as a professional tool not a toy. Especially when it offered a desktop interface option like Samsung does with DEX. Drop you phone on it's dock at the office and it's your desktop Take it with you everywhere you go. HP tried it with the X3 Elite and it was actually a pretty good phone... even if it was handicapped by their app store.

Such a shame, but i liked WP8.1 much more than W10m. Hard to imagine how MS gave up so easily even with their immense amount of cash... and companies like HTC, Sony and LG with their struggling mobile business are still running today.
