There's literally no major media that hasn't got an advert for these 2 aforementioned companies which are using very savvy and smart advertizing. Then finally the OS upgrades, if done as early as technically possible, would go a long way to provide enough incentives to current HTC phone owners to stay the course. Hope people at HTC are reading.

I am quoting from a major analyst on the subject where he says and I quote, "that even though the company has suffered a major setback, that it was highly likely that HTC will bounce back. They are in the right sector, the Android market is growing, and they have the expertize to be able to make a comeback", unquote. After all, HTC is a big Taiwanese company, and Taiwanese are known to be sober and have the fighting capacity to keep their heads up. I willingly bet that soon enough HTC will throw in some favourable figures again.

HTC should focus on Premium market, not the low-end which users of WildFire series have hurt the name of the company. People could not afford phone at a higher price point, decided they see a bargain to own a smart phone at cost between 1/3 to 1/4 of a real smart phone and start complaining about hardware not up to standard when they paying for a price close to a cheap feature phone.
Some people also like to have lightweight phone made with cheap material like the make of Samsung, the feel of HTC phone is just in a total different area.
HTC have show they learn the lesson by creating the One Series which is close to perfect. 2012 will be a better year for HTC

Worst manufacturer. Service is awful. Had one HTC desire HD took them 4 months to fix it and it broke after 1 month. NEVER again HTC NEVEEER!!! I'm not the only one with this kind of experience, that's why their sales go DOOOWWNNN!!

sad news... what i loved about the HTC back at Windows Mobile is the quality and infrequent of phones release, but since Android came… now they release high end phone and make replicas of mid-range/low end phones like NOKIA, Samsung & LG and this is not HTC I like …. Few releases > Great quality > More People Interest …. And I think should focus of WP7 instead of Android

HTC was on high after successful 2011 and started ignoring its consumer base and taking their success for granted. Very clear and obvious expamples are
-NO UPDATE for ITS ONLY TAB FLYER.
-Pathetic hardware configuration and too pricey handsets like DESIRE phones (i.e. approx 400+ USD range) having only a gig or less internal storage whereas SAMSUNG offered 8 or 16 gig in all 400 USD + phones
-Sensation (600 USD+), 1.5 Gig internal and 768 MB RAM. Other brands in that range offered 16 gig internal and 1GB RAM
-too many preinstalled bloatwares.
We all understand that they are trying to position themselves as a premium brand but first look what market has to offer and provide better than market with some premium but not lesser than market with premium. IF HTC keeps working same way, they are desitned to be in lurch the way other so called self-proclaimed premiums brands like NOKIA, SONY and Motorola are.

I'm a very satisfied HTC user. Had no problems what so ever but speaking on weakness I'd have to say the biggest ones are display and camera. If they can improve these two things then they are the top dog. Maybe they've started with the One X camera?

HTC couldn do well because of many reasons.
1. They dont have their own OS like how Samsung,Nokia,Apple have.
2.Now the market's perception has reached such an extent that people relate OS with the manufacturers.
ie: Android=Samsung
windows phone= Nokia etc
HTC has become a small player left behind in the smartphone wave.
Nokia has finally managed to come out of its disaster by going with Microsoft & improving symbian(Belle, FP1,2, Carla)
Nokia has sold 25million Smartphones for Q1 2012 ( Q4 2011 saw 19million shipments)
out of 25million symbian acccounts for 20 million, Wp(lumia) 3.5million & N9(meego) 1.5million

HTC just showed how to come back after bad year with ONE. HTC ONE X is the beat phone that I ever had. Camera is just amazing, sound better than ever, you just have to love the new design. This will be one of the best phone of the year.
