This is wat happens when you pack bad quality cheap hardware in expensive phones. My HD Mini has spent more time in the service center than my pocket :(

HTC needs more hard work on it design & also better tune on the phone performance.

It previous Sensation is the big drops!

One X is out now, even it is the most powerful Android phone for the moment but it design just ...

we just recieved our demo one x and it broke within a couple of hours, can't do a battery pull so had to reset handset. Not a good sign for their new flagship. Let down HTC, maybe thats why your sales are down

I was a diehard fan of HTC cause of its better hardware. But the main problem with HTC phones is- battery drains too quickly & phones are heavy also. This is why I switched to Samsung Galaxy S II though I know HTC is much better manufacturer than Samsung.
So, to regain market HTC should improve two things- battery & phone weight.

One of HTC's main problems is absurdly high prices of phones. The price of the newly launched One X in India is INR 37000 (approx. USD 740). Very few would buy it over the Galaxy Note which costs only INR 32000-33000. No wonder Sumsung is doing well at the expense of HTC. Even Motorola understands as the Atrix 2 is available for a fantastic price of INR 23000.

Another example: Until recently the HTC Rhyme was selling for a crazy price of INR 26000... would any sane person buy it over phones like Galaxy S Plus, SE Xperia Pro, old Arc, Moto Atrix 2 etc!

I think HTC should produce some android model for low budgets costumers like samsung did when someone goes to android for the 1st time then they dont go back i think this will help them improve their 2nd qtr,

                                    :(

I'm surprised the One X has not torn the market to shreds it's one of the most powerful android phones on the market, maybe they're all thinking along the same lines as, nice hardware, shame about the looks of it and I don't much think of HTC's supporting applications, they seem inferior (programming team) to Samsungs... eg, File Manager was coming shipped with samsung, the htc devices tended to lack flash or file support, the interface and their custom crap made it difficult...

since i've not used the One X, it could be the most perfect phone ever... why are people not using it or buying it? Price can't be the only factor? (Quad Core?)

Most likely their drop sales due to new Iphone 4S plus many new devices from Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Note and Mini tab plus Razr from Motorola. Now all these over put behind for few months the HTC One X is best phone in market until see how Samsung Galaxy S3 would stand out against HTC One series. But Regardless HTC One series has address all problems with previous models such as the Audio, Camera, Weight, screen sharpness and Thickness phone. The HTC One is very stylish and look great and fit in hand so easy. I already owen two of then the white & Gray version which I promised myself never buy HTC. Again I still keep my Nexus & New Sony Xperia at same time.

I use to Sell component to HTC when they were just small shop in Taipei and were making iPAQ as OEM for other. HTC has learn hard way to grow to were they are and I am sure they will pull it off and stay successful. Make a point that I am not HTC fan but I have watched them grow from day one being in their small lobby in Taipei when no one wanted to do business with them and I am always proud watching companies start from nothing and growth so fast to where HTC today. Is the Way to Go HTC & thanks using my components in your original iPAQ and had the photos on your wall and were showing to your venders.
