Just an all round great product.

Ranking my favorite years from the decade -
                      1. 2016
                      2. 2014
                      3. 2013
                      4. 2011
                      5. 2010
                      6. 2012
                      7. 2018
                      8. 2017
                      9. 2019
                      10. 2015

I put 2015 dead last because of the Snapdragon 810. It was the worst year in phones since 2006. Apple also had its own chip-gate but the A9 was a fantastic chip that still pumped the SE 6 months later.

While I rank 2016 my favorite year even with the Note7 exploding debacle, most of the phones released in 2016 were ones I got in 2017. Which is why 2017 ranks so high for me on a personal level.

I also think 2013 was awesome year in both tech and personal for me. My first full year with my psycho gf but that first year with her was fun. I think that was the first year I truly started loving Android. But if you compare 2013 vs 2014, the latter had a better lineup thanks to the battery efficient Snapdragon 801.

Apple released iPhone 6 / 6 Plus in 2014, but it was the last year they were behind in SoC. They didn't start to blow the competition away until the A9. The A8 wasn't all that and it was stuck with 1 GB RAM. Their camera was also falling behind and didn't really rally until recently with the iPhone 11 series.

                      2010 - Gingerbread
                      2011 - Ice Cream Sandwich
                      2012 - Jelly Bean
                      2013 - KitKat
                      2014 - Lollipop
                      2015 - Marshmallow
                      2016 - Nougat
                      2017 - Oreo
                      2018 - Pie
                      2019 - Android 10

Nougat was also released in 2016 and that remains my 2nd favorite Android version behind only Pie. I only put 2018 over 2017 and 2019 because of Pie and Pixel 3. I didn't care for Oreo or Android 10. I put 2019 as my 2nd least favorite even though I didn't get my Pixel until May 2, 2019. Both 2015 and 2019 were not bad for me on a personal level. In fact, they're two of my favorites along with 2013, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

My least favorite on a personal level is actually 2014 (2nd fav for phones}. As a whole, 2014 was pretty boring for me. Might be the only year I didn't enjoy like the others. I did go to Hawaii that year in May which was awesome. One of my favorite trips I ever had. Before that, I hadn't been to Hawaii since 1988 & 1989.

I'm Year of the Monkey, so 2016 was supposed to be great for me. I guess I had to put it #1 when it came to phones m

Nothing been said about LG G Flex ground breaking flexible curve screen technology and comfortable to hold phone.
                        Still waiting for Flex 3

Wow?! Quite an interesting part 1 & part 2 editorial.

I was hoping that the Asus Rog Phone 2 might have appeared somewhere. And appreciation for the monster device has been picking up quite a bit recently.

Xiaomi have just passed the miit certification for a Black Shark 3 Gaming Phone.

The formidable and dynamic android experience is now branching out to even more hardcore gaming phones for 2020. Already Lenovo Legion Gaming phones will be launched soon. As well as the ZTE Nubia Red Magic 5G 865 powered device... And Xiaomi's Black Shark 3 due to launch soon.

How great is that?! Android is so powerful now and dynamic that several companies are joining momentum to also bring superior gaming phones. As well as the more multi tasking technologically innovative traditional phones that quite a few consumers have.

After all this time... Thanks to GSM Arena. I have decided finally to head for the first time into buying my first gaming phone. But I will wait for the 865 powered devices. And smile to iphone users when we are 1st place in our games.

And reassured that we android users have the most powerful and best designed with the best technology and best operating system on a phone... Modestly placed in our pockets... Ready for use with the most powerful chipset created so far in any phone...

Sharp didn't massively advertise this kind of format so they're forgotten. Here we have Phillipe Starck, who is some renowned designer and teamed up with Xiaomi to create his dream phone that can be bought by the masses and the Mi Mix is born. Does Sharp have Piezoelectric speakers, Ceramic materials, etc? No. Xiaomi won with risk while Sharp failed because it's only in Japan and no international article would want to report it.
