Not in the UI, neither during using YouTube, nor during web browsing.
That is the best part about Android. You don't have to be stuck with it.

I bought an amazon fire tablet with unremovable ads on the lockscreen. There is also a version without ads but that one is more expensive. Most people won't mind the ads if they can get the same product at a cheaper price.

Ads, bloatware, lack of consistency and other problems are the reason why I wish Windows Phone had some market share to take off Android.

Just like Xiaomi does and unlike Google their ads actually show what I would buy and no scams! I turned ads completely on my Xiaomi.
Those who complain are simply illiterate Samsung fanboys who don't know what year we're in....

Installing a proper firewall like Afwall is a must to stop OS from sharing data with parent company servers.

I bought a Redmi Note 8 knowing that I can disable ads on the set-up screen. I would like them to perhaps price their phones a bit higher and not serve ads, even with the option to turn them off.

If we look at one side then it's good too because Realme keep too less profit in their phones so they should earn from the ads. Also, we have an option to completely disable the ads/commercial recommendations so what are we afraid of?

Most people complaining about the ads don't even own or plan to buy a realme device
I see why some dislike ads but it's not the end of the world
Ad placement is more important than the presence of ads in general
People complain about ads on YouTube, pirate sites and flagship killer /budget devices
Well folks that's how they make money stay running... Even if you buy a Samsung S20 ads are still there plus Google uses you anyways

Anonymous, 01 Jan 2020People who buy cheapo chinese phones doesn't mind becoming ... moreLOL funny, people don't have problem with big tech collecting info (Google and Facebook know everything about you and they don't exactly have your best interest in mind), yet they are worried about some insignificant companies collecting info.
I personally can't tolerate ads, but
-You can disable them.
-If you can't do it from the options, there are apps like Blokada
-If that doesn't work, but ads are only on system apps, then you can just use third party apps.
I only see a problem if both options are impossible. As long as they are, i prefer a phone that isn't crippled and isn't overpriced. I can deal with ads (For now, as i said, it that's not possible at some point, than this is a huge problem indeed), but i can't do anything about mediocre hardware (Besides boycotting it).

Now that's a real competitor to Redmi. Not sure what is the next thing they are going to copy from them though.
