01 January 2020
The Redmi competitor is taking this idea from Xiaomi's handbook.

I use MIUI which also have ads (they are disabled ofc)
The minute it will be impossible to disable them im out.

The ROM and the smartphones are great but im alergic to ads.

      Well this will make the less tech averse people( who are likely to purchase budget phones) keep viewing these ads as they would likely not know you could turn these things off.This likely a nasty trick to make users view ads on a devices they purchased as though they dont see ads everywhere already!!!

      Ads everywhere... Yuck!!!

        Consider Samsung or Huawei phones..

                  Officially they admitted without any sense of shame "the ads are required to maintain a healthy and sustainable business model".
                  Offering the customers as the product to their advertisers is their business model.
                  Phone buyers = the real product
                  Advertisers = the actual customers

                      I don't care about how many flagship killers they release in a month or bang for buck devices...having ads in your software is absolutely unacceptable! And you can't defend that because you ain't got money!! Or because it could be switched off

                                  I could see it coming. To keep the prices this aggressive and to sustain profits,this was a measure that was going to be taken(without a lot of IoT products in portfolio)not happy but hopefully the toggle completely switches off the ads,it looks easy to switch it off let's see what happens next

                                      If a product has a price that low for what it offers, it just means YOU as the customer are the real product.

                                        Ads in mobile OS...? Definitely no. If that would be the case, I would keep away from the manufacturer. As far as it gets.
