In case your pea size brain don't know this but China smartphone is 5 times the sale compare to usa. A "third world" country in the eyes of the west beat a so called first world country

johnwick, 11 Jan 2020yeah i doubt samsung even sold 400,000 units eitherSamsung is a publically listed business in a country where the law isn't the daily whims of an autocrat. Misleading shareholders is a serious offence for Samsung. Huawei doesn't have to follow any laws.
So, I'm pretty sure 400,000 Galaxy Folds is an honest number while Huawei is just full of manure.

Osman02, 10 Jan 2020This info is not correctHuawei MateX have been sold for 3times the price. Why does the figure 100,000 seems suspicious to anyone. Also prove the samsung sold 400,000 units of the ugly notch fold

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2020Show me proof Samsung's claims about its ~400k sales aren't... moreSamsung has created and sold a lot more Folds than any other foldable device. Many mainstream YouTube reviewers even use one as their daily driver.
Suddenly one is left wondering how one gets smartphone sales records, accurstely. All over Asia, the Huawei doesn't seem to sell in the top 6 handsets, and in Europe too, it isn't the first 5 handsets in terms of sales. Only Chinese numbers seem to suggest that it's the World's Second Largest in sales figures, which, obviously is difficult to verify.
Xiaomi and Redmi seem to sell a lot more than any other Chinese Smartphone. Also, with the sole exception of Samsung and Apple, their figures are way ahead of everyone else, by a huge margin.

They haven't even had 100,000 page clicks per month on its product site. Maybe sold 1,000 per month.

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2020I guarantee you that this number of 100.000 units a month i... moreexactly. Huawei has been fabricating numbers and facts since long. trying to sell a DSLR picture as a photo from a Huawei phone, claiming that they are not related to Chinese govt. etc etc. any statement from them can not be taken as credible.

PepperPot, 10 Jan 2020It hasn't even been two months so what is this "per" nonsen... moreThis is what i'm being saying since they announced it was released in China. Where are the reviews? Where can i buy it?
The posts from aliexpress seem like a scan as they are selling them for 2-3X the official price (5,000 dollars). So, or it's not officially on sale yet or they can't make enough to even account for this bragging numbers.
Yesterday i was seeing a video from the CES where a youtuber was still showing them like a novelty.... lol

It hasn't even been two months so what is this "per" nonsense? Also where are the reviews on youtube? Reviews from real users that would be more than anxious to show how much better the Mate X is vs the Fold. It's not a device for the masses. People are more interested in the development of foldable phones. Huawei needs to focus on how they plan to make the X's screen better because once Samsung releases their foldable with a thin glass it's "game over" for every foldable manufacturer until they implement a thin glass on their devices. A complete unnecessary lie.

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2020Show me proof Samsung's claims about its ~400k sales aren't... moreWithout proof for either, Huawei's not held accountable as they're not publically traded. That makes Samsung's numbers more credible as they could be held for stock price manipulation if they're found to have lied.
Not helping Huawei either is their abhorrent track record in which they were caught lying last month regarding Honor Smart Screen's speaker output, and earlier, lying under oath during testimony to frame Li Hongyuan, their own employee, among the countless lies they were previously caught with.
