AnonD-41401, 17 Apr 2012WVGA screen, who watches HD movies on a phone??!
1080p rec... moreThis is why they claim Nokia lag of marketing strategy, 1080p, 12MP, Dual/Quad core 1.5++, 1Gb ram....
You think current software really can full use of those hardware monster? People need something "booming" when they paying top dollar for a mobile, not a few years old Single core processor and something looks outdated hardware.
I take video with 1080 always, you'll know the different once you show everyone via hdmi cable to 46" household TV, although it's not as good as Camcorders, but it's better than 720 for sure.
Windows Phone need more time & effort in order to increase their worst market share, but I have a feeling, if Nokia keep going with just Windows phone, others competitor will smoke Nokia soon, Samsung already overtake Nokia's 13 years domination of Mobile market sharing worldwide, soon will see Apple,Sony,Motorola overtake it. Nokia need Android to bring back some market.

Totally true why would anybody buy Nokia?
-They made their phones in Foxccon and Compal in cheap quality build... and printed on them Nokia and sell them way high priced.
-They always bring outdated heavy phones "No less than 100 grams" and very think "No less than 12 mm" with bad materials and pointed edges.
-WP is buggy and laggy i saw videos for Lumia 900/800 they lag so much! and loss connectivity in some position.
-They fool the public with brick phone has 41MP but actually its 16MP only 41MP SENSOR and no GPU and old ARM 11 CPU not even Cortex-9 or 8!
-Nokia always copies other and acts like an old man who does what ever he wants!
>>>To fix that import Exynos chip and start with Android

Nokia should have gone on with their homegrown OS, Meego. I don't agree with them being just another Android OEM.

Another comment about all this 720 and 1080p recording, front facing camera complaining. I used it once and never had to use it again. Its just a marketing hype from the companies to drag you in... obviously.

1080p rec... moreYes no one watches HD on a phone but having 1080p recording is good. I always use the max recording resolution as long as the phone has it.
Though i still think having Windows on Nokia phone beat having symbian

Has anyone used a Lumia 710, 800 or 900?? Why is everyone always quick to give advice without even trying it. I currently use Nokia E7 and its a good phone but I`m just tired of the generic symbian style and thats why when Lumia 900 comes out, i`m getting that. People hate change.

myself i had thoughts about geting one of the older WP7 devices as they provide more or less the same specs as the later ones with much lower prices! but now after i heard about WP8 supporting multicores cpu, micro SD and bigger rams i'll definitely wait for them in the second half of 2012,,

N9! N9! N9! MeeGo! MeeGo! Meego!
Go back to the N9 Nokia! You know you hit it right with the design because you recycled it with the Lumias. Unfortunately, you packed it with something less worthy called Microsoft. How could you betray your very own MeeGo? Customers don't shop around for a Windows phone. They buy Nokias! What is the matter with you guys? It's not to late to eat your words. Even BlackBerry isn't giving up on it's own unique platform. So how could you?

blueglue, 17 Apr 2012True to some extent mate. but lets wait for WP to cope up, ... moreConcerning WP (WM previously) they will hit big i'm sure of that i was crazy with WM like HTC Touch HD, HTC HD2 & Xperia X1 but after that switch to iPhone (personal preference till now) then Android came out of course no one can deny how great the Android and the fast improvements of Google OS but seriously now im bored of it switched back to iPhone… I really hope to see big positive improvements in WP in the near future

Seems like if Nokia makes something popular for Europe it stinks in the USA and if they make something popular in the USA it stinks for Europe
I guess charging with 1 horse instead of 3 and killing the other 2 horses was a bad idea eh?

In the same european article, they also state that nokia has given themselves a double challange namely: fixing their image and trying to make WP a succes.

android and iOS are good OS's.. depending on the user's preference some just are loyal to the brand they are used to or to the OS itself... i would just like to try the windows mobile OS, just for a breath of fresh air of OS..
some people bash the windows OS as if it's something out of low tech engineering... ehem.. just ask them, "your computer's OS is ..." or "the OS you have used is before ..."
right, it's windows.

In Nokia's desperate attempt to appeal to the American market, they are alienating their most loyal userbase not only in Europe but also in developing countries in Asia. Lumia is also not even selling in developing countries like India which once was Nokia's main market especially of their Symbian phones.

Well the battery issues and rather modest, insufficient IMHVO, battery capacity certainly didn't help either.
