Lumias aren't competitive enough, say European carriers

17 April, 2012
The high price tags, mediocre marketing plans and some software issues are to blame.

Judge is correct. It is a question of content. It is also a question of maturity. Windows mango is very good, but it is starting from behind. It will be interesting to see what Windows 8 offers, and when the phones evolve to dual/quad core chipsets. It was that long ago when everyone said the android had no chance of eating into Apple's market share.

There isn't even a good third party PIM/Todo app available for WP, just like it was with Symbian! iPhone (and to a lesser degree Android) had highlevel productivity tools from the beginning. Just my 2 cents.

Nokia must be big headed to think the unpopular Windows Mobile will take on Android and iOS. They should of done what Samsung do and sell for most platforms. Which ever one is popular/selling the best then produce more for that particular platform.

Nokia made the biggest mistake and may go into liquidation within a few years.

What idiots they all are. Imagine a Nokia 808 with better CPU/GPU specs for Android. They would probably even outsell the Galaxy range...

I don't know why they don't include the option to share pics or songs via bluetooth in either of Windows-iphone. Technical difficulty?

Android is roaring, iPhone is thriving.who cares for a windows phone which is exceptionally boring.

Well, it's not Nokia's fault really. All Windows Phone devices are virtually identical in terms of hardware due to strict guidelines from Microsoft. The only thing working as a disadvantage for Nokia Lumia here is the repelling price tag.

i think microsoft could really help WP7 out here by making more xbox arcade games available as apps, they have the licenses to so many awesome games

Number of free applications are one big blow for windows platform. To catch up with those apple and sammy or tommy whatever, everything should be free except the phone. Then both phone and OS both will be very common and gets hit.

People wouldn't buy WP simply because the lack of apps on it. It's like a huge, full-powered theme park with only carousels and fairy's wheels on it. Same thing with smartphones. No matter how fast, good-looking a WP phone is, people still look out for good phone contents like instagram, draw something, "HD games", etc.

                                      LMFAO... Reuters.

One comment to make here - stock price manipulation. When Nokia beat Earnings estimates next quarter, the value of the company shoots up and their Wall street buddies make a fortune. It's a common practice but way too hard for regulatory agencies to prove.
