s-pen pusher, 16 Jan 2020i have consented for them to collect data on me for more re... moreLol their privacy policy vs how they operate are two completely different things.
Besides you haven't read the entire privacy statement (which most ppl don't bother to coz it's too long) it's all mentioned there. So you can't even sue them since you agreed to the terms and conditions before using their product. There is a reason why people prefer alternatives to Google services.

If you have nothing to hide, might as well tell your wife to shower in front of a Google Home device.

Yes there is no human intervention since data is fed to the AI and all the mining and analytics is taken care of by AI.

Giving more data to companies is like giving them your money that is never gonna come back while leaving you more exposed for future vulnerabilities.

I thought it was a bug I was annoyed cause I have set the phone to immediately close app upon exit so I would like to know if my apps have been updated or not and another annoying thing is whenever I get a notification of pending updates I tap on update all and it takes me to playstore so why bother with update all button, it should just start updating apps without opening playstore if I tap update all

I thought it was a bug, I had this feature since around November and I am used to it already. It's not news to me

On my old 2016 device very lagging when open play store,
              Sometime will freeze my device

I'm just gonna settle with Android until a new OS comes up, and then I'm gonna switch to that immediately. Google is determined to turn Android into an iOS clone, and in doing so, they're turning off their veteran users.

The problem is, I see notifications to update some apps, but when I go in, its already updated since I have auto update enabled.

In this case, I shouldn't get notifications to update apps either unless I have turned off Auto-update for apps.

They want to copy Apple down to the last details. Be glad they didn't remove the update tab completely.

Anonymous, 16 Jan 2020Never allowed Google Play services or Google Play Store to ... moreAnd what makes you think that 'other apps' is safer than play store?

actually it's not a big problem, but sometimes on older phone which has less sophisticated hardware being told that apps already updated is give a feeling that the job has already done. I mean, in low memory devices it is often that the update process is actually failed when we're close the play store to open another "heavy" apps like Instagram or browser.

but it won't be a much problem now, because we're currently have android with 16gb of ram :v

Never allowed Google Play services or Google Play Store to run on my phone along with putting it behind a firewall.

Plenty of other places to get your apps from.

Why on Earth they would need to stop pushing a notification upon update is beyond me. It makes no sense. I have auto updates turned on, so I would like to know when apps are being updated. The Android ecosystem has plenty of issues to look at and improve, yet Google keeps ignoring them and instead decides to focus on trivial nonsense like this.

i'm not sure why but i have had this feature for a few months now; it could have to do that i am on the beta program for google play services. i find it annoying at first as i need to go back and open the play store app to see if the apps i was updating manually have been updated successfully since i was not getting a notification. i indeed thought it was a bug or some setting i did not bother to search for until you posted this. i guess i couldn't really complain as i am in beta program; i somehow have gotten used to it but now that you posted it i'm back to being annoyed.

The article is somewhat ambiguous. I thought they were saying you would not get a notification telling you that new updates were available.

However, you don't need to be told you've just updated something.
