Genuinely well done GSMArena, just make sure it's consistent.

Try and grab hold of a Nexus One/Desire, that should get close to a contrast ratio of zero.
Apparently the Lumia 900 has the best clearblack polarizer yet!

Why there isn`t Nokia 701? I think that would be fare comparison. Also LG Nova should be there.

The idea is good, as here in Egypt we have a sunny sky almost all the year, and sun legibility is useful specially when taking pictures (Because mostly the sun should be behind you if you thought).

                          so thanks for the test.

Super AMOLED is brighter than the Super AMOLED plus the Samsung Omnia so W and Note are over Galaxy S II.

The idea is good, as here in Egypt we have a sunny sky almost all the year, and light legibility is useful specially when taking pictures (Because mostly the sun should be behind you).

But it`s better to have the test in numbers to be more accurate, it`s not good to depend just on the eye sight by seeing phone pictures next to each other.

Unfortunately I don`t know how to generate numbers, but I`ll tell you if figured out away.
                              :)

Hey, hey, hey! Where are true winners like any Nokia with 1000nits and LG Optimus Black with 700nits NOVA display?
When I got my LG Optimus Black, first thing I did, I compared screen brightness to iPhone4 and later to 4s in direct sunlight, like everyone does comparison and are happy for any Apple let down. No surprises, 700nits on LG are superb. Haven't seen Nokia with 1000nits in real life, but I bet, the screens are perfect.
