A lot of the apps have remained basically the same in both functionality and features, with only a facelift. There's no way an app that required less than 500MB of RAM now demands 2GB or more. One or two, very niche apps (edition apps like photoshop for example), but there is no way that my mail, messenger, photo, video, etc etc needs that much.

Games? Yes, but I dont need to run various at the same time.

Is just me or it's very strange that we haven't seen any exynos benchmark even when it was presented in november last year and the S20 is gonna be showed on february?

GnuLinux, 16 Jan 2020I am not interested this year in any Samsung device. Becaus... moreInferior how? In the first 8 of 10 generations exynos was overall superior.
And this year they are set to more than likely be evenly matched. Cpu and GPU. Unless they use one more set of custom large cores before killing then off. Then it's a gaming game whether they will be stronger but throttle quick or actually be better.
And GPU should be even, but might pull a little ahead.

The other stuff for the most I get.

                  Not a problem of optimisation.

Anonymous, 16 Jan 2020Is 12 gb ram really necessary?Unless you have 32GB or more 12 is not much in current age and era. In few years there will be plenty of apps for which 12 GB of ram will be barely enough to run them. Imagine that 4 years ago we had most phones with 1-2GB ram and flagships like S6 samsung got 3.

I am not interested this year in any Samsung device. Because here in Europe we only get that inferior Exynos CPU. And on top of that no headphone jack, no IR blaster, full of bloatware etc. Samsung is treating us like a trash. I will wait and see what LG, Sony or OnePlus will bring to the table.
