Oh, this seems to be a relief to the Win users, Seems that Apollo is a definite update to all devices.
but the earlier news was very disturbing, especially when there isnt any official confirmation.
I still would like to hear with complete details and an official announcement from MS.

I think this articale is not true!Beacuse microsoft and nokia know that they will lose again trust from their customers if they not release update for curent gen devices!Microsoft please clear things up!

Nokia had a chance for android and blew it up with its 'adamant' proposal. still it can make a mark with Android, provided it gets a fresh look to the o/s and improve h/w. It may not reach Number 1 (remember, samsung is very strong in the market now) , but will surely be better than now.
MeeGo, on the other hand is another self-destructed projects by nokia, had it been the way intel initally aimed then meego would have been some success than what it is today. Well, now that Samsung has taken over lets see what Tizen has to offer.

Whether it does or doesn't is irrelevant, current model Lumia's will still offer a better user experience than quad core android handsets.

Nokia is more or less dead now if they do not leave Microsoft and start focusing on MeeGo as their number 1 OS for their smartphones and budgetphones. And Nokia would be more than welcome to join Android, and use Nokia maps... besides Google maps on their Nokia phones giving Nokia the chance to be a little bit "better" than every other Android from Samsung and..., especially when Nokia use their great cameras! If Nokia join Android they will easily be the number 1, and maybe even beat Apple iPhones and iPads! Google + Nokia would be a winning combination, because that is what all customers want!

This is the paid article; by Google (I am not saying the article in Gsmarena but in source link itself) to dominate windows phone because they make profit for Microsoft and everybody know Microsoft and Google are like Tom and Jerry.
Yeah , it's true that low end wp7/ wp7.5 devices won't get Apollo update but The phone with atleast 512mb ram and more than 1ghz processor will definetly got the Apollo update! But in my opinion there is no guarantee for Samsung Wp7.5 phone which have similor hardware and capable to upgrade (e.g. Samsung Galaxy S) but any windows Phone by Nokia which have minimum Hardware requirement definetly Got the Apollo update!

Goodbye Nokia! Who want to waste money on any WP7 phone when Nokia/Microsoft have this bad support with no upgrades at all? Elop killed Nokia when he as a Trojan horse forced Nokia to choose WP7 and abandon MeeGo!
