YUKI93, 21 Jan 2020Superior Android handset? Yeah, right... for about two upda... moreBy which time the iPhone it's self with its low end specs is severely out of date... iPhones are for old people that don't understand how rapid things are changing. Innovation and tech. No one should keep there phone any longer than 2-3 years. And with 5G spread across most European cities. Who would want an iPhone in the first place? The rapid progress technologically with Android supercedes apple. For example. Under display cameras. And they are working on 6G networks already.

iPhone Pro Max already have best battery life in the market. Don't be brainwashed spec boy. Battery life comes from many things not just from the size of battery. How power efficient your screen is or the chip and other stuffs. That's why Apple surprised lot of people about battery life with their newest iPhones.

Kuba, 21 Jan 2020exactly my thoughts. never used apple before, but seriously... moreStep up your game and buy iPhone, you will be lot more happier about your choice. Don't hit your head to the wall buying another android crap. There's reason why by far most android sales are cheap low-end crap. People don't want to buy those expensive high-end android phones because the support is horrible and the value just isn't there.

If you are all complaining about the Android software update "problem", well...

        - It doesn't really matter in the first place, the phone will still boot up, you can still call people, access the internet so why do you need Android 11, 12, 20, 200? Seriously man like no one cares, you are severely overblowing this non-issue, there is no wannacry for android and there will never be anything like that
        - If you really want to update your 5 yo Nexus, ROOT THE PHONE!!!

YUKI93, 21 Jan 2020Superior Android handset? Yeah, right... for about two upda... moreexactly my thoughts. never used apple before, but seriously considering buying. Android market is too fragmented, and even major players like Samsung, LG, Huawei, all ABANDON their devices after ONE YEAR or so!!! Or you wait for upgrade infinitely. The only alternative is pixel, but this year hardware is a failure.

Domestoboto, 21 Jan 2020Yeah, I wouldn't blame much of the US. Apps simply PERFORM ... moreApple haters also forgot that software updates are also for 5 years, they completely underestimated it. By the way, yes, my apps are running better than my (previous) Samsung handset. Games also run better in the iPhone. Had a Note Fan Edition (Exynos) and even in the lowest settings in PUBG/COD Mobile (smooth graphics, medium framerate) there are stutters and framerate drops here and there. OneUI update was 2 months late. Certainly not futureproofed and this is how Samsung wants you to keep upgrading your handset, don't let the cheaper price fool you.

MagicMonkeyBoy, 20 Jan 2020Great news. The rest of us will be buying superior phones t... moreTypical comment of an Apple hater who can't afford to buy their handsets. Let me warn you of Samsung's marketing strategy first, as I owned a Galaxy Note FE and S10e previously before I switched to a realme X2 Pro and iPhone 11.

Samsung installs huge amounts of bloatware in their handsets. This slows down the phone substantially. Pair it up with an underpowered Exynos chipset (usually found in M and A models and Asian/European S and Note series). Phone will get laggy after few years. Then Samsung will want you to upgrade your handset. Not to mention software updates are delayed for earlier models and their expensive pricing. Proof that I received the OneUI update very late for the Note FE (2 months delay).

Speaking of other brands, Xiaomi installs adware in their phone and is difficult to turn off. I checked the Redmi Note 8 Pro in a store and it needed you to sign up for a Mi account.

Huawei will just steal your personal data and the Mate 30 now lacks Google Play services.

Vivo has quirky build quality (I tested the Y91c, Z1 Pro, S1 Pro, and V17 Pro in a store, V17 Pro's popup cam seems to wobble, while the other models are too plasticky).

I thought the S10e (Exynos) is good because of its compact design, camera, and its overall user experience, but it's not. Playing games like PUBG Mobile causes device to heat up, then has FPS drops (smooth extreme). Fingerprint sensor is slow and gets scratched too easily like my Note. Luckily it did not suffer from the ultrasonic fingerprint issue in the higher models.

                  Enjoy your brick :)

If anything, it should be OnePlus and Samsung that should be worried that Apple remains untouchable over there.

Yeah, I wouldn't blame much of the US. Apps simply PERFORM BETTER on iOS than on Android. That's not a disputable fact.

This is especially evident on content creation and social media apps such as TikTok, VSCO, Instagram, Photoshop, and Snapchat (Android apps still use what the VIEWFINDER sees to produce the content and not what the camera sensor picks up like on iOS. The result is noticeable compression and poorer quality videos and photos.)

Apple's now reaping the rewards after the Huawei fiasco. "Competition" is easy with Apple these days, at least in US.

After that, you either buy a brand new model that came after it or keep on using without any more major software update or security patches.
