Of course you can get 80% of the performance for a lot less, and the snap 765, will make 5g cheaper to get. I applaud that they're trying to do higher midrange right. Buying a flagship should mean something, though, and be special for the price. It's up to the mfgrs, to make a flagship, a flagship, and justify the price, if no, won't sell good(example pixel).

So funny how some "premium" brains try to justify these prices. Nice concept for overpriced phones. The glastic A series are overpriced too and falls low against chinese competitors today in quality and what they offer. Old quality A series are gone thanks to the new CEO of Samsung. Be ready for more of the same, cutting features and matching Apple. You'll get what you deserve, for sure. lol

Is anyone surprised? Premium features = premium prices. Samsung needs to recoup all that money spent on advertising.
Same goes for iPhone. Get a non-Pro one or buy the previous generation if you're concerned with price.
For Samsung, the A-series Galaxy midrange phones are quite decent. They sell much better than the S-series Galaxy flagship phones.

Samsung follows in the footsteps of Apple. At least they can somewhat justify the price with better hardware compared to the Iphone. Still 1300 euro for their flagship is a lot. I'll either stick to Huawei or move to Xiaomi for better hardware at a reasonable price.

So now Samsung are trying to up their own one at the cost of their blind fans that will justify whatever they ask. Next time maybe they should start at $2000 and so on.

Adul Al Salami Kebab, 22 Jan 2020At this point why dont ya just go buy a iPhone? =/ Because iPhones are naff when it comes to connectivity and sending files, which most of the time need an app to do, whereas you can do it with almost arrogant ease with Android.
The screens are odd format, the cameras old hat, battery life is improving slowly, but they still lag way behind Android.
I'm comfortable with the Android operating system and environment and I don't see why I should or want to change for something which is inferior in many ways.
Samsung are just being greedy and I wonder how long it will be before they do a price drop on the Ultra when it doesn't sell in the quantities that they hope for.

Samsung pricing their phone with 5g higher than last year lol.... thought 5g shud be getting cheaper with time.
Meanwhile, Huawei and others are aiming to reduce 5g and get it in 150 dollar phones by the end of the year

Crazy prices pushed up by Apple charging over the odds for its phones. Samsung phones will seem an inferior product if the're cheaper in price. Its not usually long before the first price drop so unless your a tech head id wait.
If you change your phone regularly then dont waste the extra cost on the 5G version but if you keep your phone a long time and are due a new one then the 5g version probably makes more sence.
