but in all of the option why should you rate the phone. people are beleving in gsmarena. lots of poeple by the phone by your voting and review. otherwise give the your rate in review. like you give in samsung galaxy s and iphone 4.

For sure the 3rd option, only users with facebook, Twitter, Google+ accounts can log in and vote... For example if you have Phone A - 456, Phone B - 200, and Phone c - 900, you can do your own standard deviation and average. This is filtered results but cleaner and fan boys are out!! Good luck with it, you guys do great reviews!!

Do not let people directly choose grades. Just give priority to individual features.
Ask how much the battery life for 1 charge - ( 10 hours) Leave the extreme low figures and extreme high figures
Ask about different application uses, restrict it to 10, example facebook, skype, Camera, screen lock clock ; but you guys specify the apps, let people choose which they use. no grading here, just specifying apps
specify the design in terms of Grip, material, resistance to scratches, uniqueness, looks - grading system from 1-3 - Good/Average/Bad
Restrict the total total criteria to just 15 (MAX) - 15 is also bit long, it could drive away normal people, but it is much transparent
Whole idea - Different phones should be evaluated based on criteria which could be different, but they can be grouped into similar categories. Ex:- Performance, Features, Design
Also start with your evaluation first, Give 50000 votes to your evaluation - We trust you

what about sending a confirmation txt with a unique code for anonymous votes. (similar to a system that can be used logging into google) and then only allow the number they use for the txt message once for that poll. and then registered/logged in users wont need to do this because their user info will only be allowed to vote once. this will limit the amount of votes a single fanboy can do to how many phones he has + how many accounts he creates on gsm arena.

You guys know when a phone is not perfect 10 or event 9. No phone is a perfect 10 so that shouldn't even be an option. Based on your experience, you should limit the voting scale of the phone i.e. Iphone 4s (6-9 - cannot be lower than 6) and nokia 3310 (1-4) :P

I believe that it should be a combination of Option 2 & 3.
This is because, as you have already mentioned, Option-1 will result in the same situation as you guys are currently in now.
Only allow positive feedbacks for logged-in users. By doing this, though you will get fewer entries, but they would be spot-on. This would save you the time to track the people who are bogus voters. This would majorly happen because you would allow only one positive vote per login for a single phone.
i Hope this helps :-)

2nd one if you allow logging in from multiple accounts like g+, disqus etc....or simply with email id. If you cant implement this, then 3rd one !

Gsmarena,
I vote for 2.
Or
4. 'Gsmarena's ratings' for the phones.
Like some websites are doing, add a new voting rate by yourself for the phones you review and leave user votes as itself
That will make the system perfectly accurate and the viewers can get an exact idea of the phones aside from fanboy votes. Yes, its extra work, but would it hurt very much to rate the phones you review ?

I believe a mixture of the 2nd and 3rd options should work best. Have a new system in place, But have the added security of people having to log in before registering. Also, could you guys add a rating for value for money? Because some phones just give you more 'bang for your buck' than others.

Option 2 would be a nice choice, but I'd like it to be more precise. For example, when you're going to vote, then it would ask for facebook account , not necessarily loggin the user in or activating an account
