3rd option is the best, 2nd will result to fraud votes again and not all smart phone/gsm phone have always access to the web

I think user should stop behaving like child s for their favorite phone and companies. It is our ethical responsibility to post the truth, not just fan boy thing .
Need to educate the people, else they will find ways to deliver negative info.
Method 2 will be good. Because everybody having a smartphone or not having a Facebook account necessarily, and their should be only one vote for one phone from one account
It should be good way.

option 2. we only really need accurate voting for the newer phones. and a link for battery test on the specs page would be nice.

Honestly, use the Facebook like scheme.
The war on fanboys and skewed results is one war which no-one can win. What many have found is that, by using the Facebook like with a Facebook account, they do not get much chances of:
1) Voting way too many times
2) Demoting the ones they feel are the direct rivals to their obsession
Just my 2cts, from someone who is an avid reader (but isn't registered here).

I'm suggesting that the voting system will do only with members, & the voting system will erase their scores by month, and then, in the and of the year, the awesome team of gsmarena shall calculate the average scores. the scores will remane for a month. after a month,(the end of January) you'll clean the system again. recycle the answers. make the final answers of the year to be available every time any time on the home page of the gsmarena website. p.s: I'm surfing this site for more than four years now, & this is the best solution. love the website!!!!!!!

....@Gsmarena ....You guys are the expert.... Replace users vote box with a vote box of the editors. I.e. you guys should rate it(maybe after the review)
otherwise noobs will give false ratings
option 4 - let the user voting boxes remain as it and add gsmarena ratings and publish only gsmarenas top 10 phones on the homepage

I think this will work:
1.continue open voting
2.delete previous stats and start new
3.Introduce captchas(medium difficulty) for voting for non-members & direct voting for members!!
No matter how big of a fanboy one is captchas get people bored very quickly!!

Number 2 but with a twist: I dont like the facebook login and would be more convenient a yahoo or google login.
