Shab, 05 Feb 2020Sony's products are best.. Great quality, great designs. I ... moreCompletely disagree with this statement. Sony' quality is a myth and fanboys blind belief. Their smartphones have no single advantage over Chinese ones. Moreover I'd say their design of internal components / parts and how they're assembled together is worse that, say, Huawei one. I have Xperia 5 on hands right now as well as Pixel 3, 4 and Huawei P20 Pro. The only thing I like about it is "different" look and battery life. Everything else is average, nothing special. Single Pixel 3 camera is killing triple camera system of Xperia 5 by the way.

      Only numbers don't mean anything.

It's not that surprising that sony still sells because they promote sony products in movies made by Sony Pictures. Like the recent "Bad boys for life" movie have "subtle" advertisement of sony phones and cameras

          wow that's 1.3million support-less phone in a few months.

their pricing is too much for some Asian countries, like india where we can find more affordable smartphone with better specs. it is a given their sales to decline..

Too late for people there to realize is better to pay $ 800 on Xperia than $300 on any Realme or xiaomi.

Sony phones are overpriced junk. OnePlus and all other Android phones kicks its butt easily with a much lower price. Only people who buy Sony are old people with Sony nostalgia, seriously.

This is terrible news. Why? Because last year is the the first that Sony didn't release a proper "Compact" so no doubt the Sony Execs will be attributing the increased sales to making more phones that look like TV remote controls instead of a proper flagship compact.

Because the bundle offer on the Xperia 1 and 5. Also they are offer a device without a cutout on the screen which is ugly.
And the Xperia 5 with a 6" screen meant to be "compact" with flagship specs.
