Seriously, I'd better go with a REAL camera and a REAL smartphone. I only want my photos look best on special occasions like traveling. For taking one-snap pictures even BlackBerries will do the trick.

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2012There are pocket cameras that cost 100 euros and can take ... moreIt is just wrong, that pocket camereas for 100€ take better pictures than the 808. Just compare the sensor size and you know why. of course, a camera in the price range of the 808 is much better than it, but it's not a phone then and you can't put it in your pocket.

The Man, 25 Apr 2012GSMarena you suppose to be pro since when Camera MP matters... morePink spot on Nokia 808, you must be insane/mad. I saw a pink spot on a HTC when pointed to a source of light, but never on a Nokia, I have Nokia N9 and never saw a pink spot on photos,it takes very good photos, but it can not compete with 808's big sensor=lot of details in photos and very clear

Nexus's award was about the screen, not the camera. Being the first 720p screen, it deserves it.

Cameras in phones are useless, especially when they have exaggerated useless MP "41" like the 808.

@the man sure, its not about those megapixels that we are talking bout here. But the 4s or even the arc.s seems to provide much netter quality, it must have been a bribe, or somemarketing gimmick. The arc s seems to be a bit better for the details here

Biased awards. Nokia deserved but no way samsung deserve that award. Apple iphone 4s camera is far better than only 5 megapixel camera of galaxy nexus. Apple's image quality & resolution is far better than samsung in every aspect.

Google Galaxy Nexus has better lens and sensor and its among few phones that don't have pink spot on Camera field while Lumia series and I'm 100% sure 808 will have pink spot because of low materials
And i agree with you that 808 didn't see the light yet and they voted to it the best Camera! People didn't try it yet to judge the camera quality and we all know that it will be disappointed like the N8 camera when it couldn't compete with Samsung Wave camera

I think it's fair enough, since zero shutter lag on my Nexus feels like something sorely needed. The picture quality itself is just OK, but video is pretty good. The thing JUST WORKS and works brilliantly. Sometimes that matters more than quality and megapixel count. Nobody is going to use today's phones as replacements for cameras anyway (with the possible exception of PureView)
