Then there was the Samsung Galaxy S duos 2 S7582 which came out on December 2013, after the S III and about 3 months before the S4, because releasing an updated S duos as S duos 2 with almost the same body wouldn't be confusing, considering it was worse than all S II variants and too different to be an S II.

My S II from 2011 lasted until 2018, what a phone it was in those early days.
All wanted it, I was lucky to buy one.

I have one. It works til this date. You only forgot to mention the battery they attached to the motherboard of this phone, which has no purpose at all but to leak and burn the wifi board. That's exactly what happened to my phone, which works, has android 9.0 installed, but is useless as it has no wifi anymore. Very sad. Never bought Samsung again.

That Captivate Glide, I so want to see sliding horizontal physical keyboard to come back again. It makes typing so much better and a total breeze, especially for on-the-go office works. Right now, the closest thing to a new Android phone with a sliding horizontal physical keyboard is the F(x)tec Pro1.

Today isn't that different.
S20 Exynos, S20 Snapdragon, S20 Snapdragon unlocked/Dual-SIM, S20 5G sub-6GHz Exynos, S20 5G sub-6GHz Snapdragon, S20 5G sub-6GHz Snapdragon unlocked, S20 5G sub-6GHz+mmWave Snapdragon...
Okay I intentionally picked the base S20 as it doesn't come with mmWave modems and that Verizon will release one later this year according to their website before it was removed. https://www.engadget.com/2020/02/12/verizon-standard-galaxy-s20-waits-until-q2/

The era where when you wanted to root and install custom ROM, you had to double & triple confirm your phone firmware and custom ROM firmware, including kernel, radio file, etc. I soft-bricked it once, lol..
