Sponge, 21 Feb 2020I wouldn't buy this, even if simply for the name of the thing! No one's putting a gun to your head. Don't buy if you don't want. No one will lose any sleep. Sheesh the ego on some people. Unbelievable

      NOPE :)

I wouldn't buy this, even if simply for the name of the thing!

LG just show the thing! I hda 5 LGs in the past. I would swap from my mate20pro to v60 if impresses enough (because p40pro premium and mate40pro will be too expensive for me, where LG I can find always dirt cheap)

LG is the only company retaining 3.5mm headphone jack, ya?
That alone is enough to make me keep giving their phones a go.
Software updates being slow are my only issue with them.

Keep bringing the HQ Dac & 3.5mm jack, and I'll keep getting your devices.
I'm surprised that nobody seems to care about the loss of this standard audio connection.

How are you going to pass the aux cable, going forward? :P ha

LG are criminally underrated. The main criticism I see are: slow software updates, poor aftercare, and LG UX. The first two are fair enough but the last point is subjective. I've always liked their version of Android. It's clean and full of customizations.
Their phones are well-built, have gorgeous displays, HiFi Quad DAC, best haptics on android, and of course the only OEM rocking the 3.5mm jack!!

All hail to Jack, DAC, and big Batt(V60)!!
I'm enjoying and loving my G7+ with my 80-ohm DT990 pro and Poweramp.

There's one thing I want to think about: if there are really stereo loudspeakers on this thing, then I wish LG uses the built-in QuadDAC/amp to drive them, all the time.

Not only it'll (supposedly) be cleaner and louder, it'll also be a good marketing point and also something users 'can' notice, at least those who just buy crap earphones and can't utilize full potential of that dac and then complain LG's audio is not too much better than Samsung/apple.

The LG earphones suck though when compared to the AKG earphones provided with the S9. Either way, LG is louder than the galaxy series with wired earphones, and with the quad-DAC, it's loud, clean sound.

about loudness levels it depend on the headphone you are using for eg: if I used the stock LG headphones with Quad-dac I always stuck at 37-40 levels from 75 levels which is about the half but when using some high end ones I rich loudness below that level.
so it's really depend if you turn off Quad-dac you'll get the same as samsung using Snapdragon DSP

LG just seems so far behind in the camera game. Whenever I see comparisons, the LG always seems weaker.
