Thats one hell of a Detail!! Hope This Technology comes fast into Windows Phones from Nokia, Before Windows Phone OS becomes Irrelevant in the Market!

How completely ignorant that comment was. People like you who have no knowledge about this whatsoever should not comment. Firstly, the over sample technology makes the images far higher quality. AND you can take pictures at FULL 41 MP. Are you REALLY comparing iPhone cameras to this? What a cr@pple fan boy.

nokia should add another additonal xenon flash for night photgraphy and add pocket charger dc11.... or use a 3300mah battery.....

Lets keep things straight here.
At 41Mpix the 808 is very similar to a lot of other smartphones out there, it shoots at 1,4um pixel size, which is the same as the iPhone 4s/Gs2. It might be a bit better because of the new sensor and better optics, but it won't be significant.
The reason for this high megapixel count is that, even at 3x zoom, the picture will have as good as quality as a picture taken on an iphone 4s with NO ZOOMING at all.. get it ? In perspective, you can get 4 8Mpix pictures with iPhone 4s quality out of just ONE 808 picture.. this is how powerful this device is.
And, the icing on the cake is that when you put into 5/8Mpix mode it starts to combine/oversample pixels, which makes them bigger/better quality, and that is when you get the amazing quality.. in this modes you are getting aroun 3.0um size pixels.
Now, dear trolls, go buy your GS3, and enjoy your 4 cpu cores.. which most of have no idea what to do with anyway.

FAUST, 26 Apr 2012If you look closely at the back of the phone, it says "... moreYes, the sensor itself has all the 41 MP, but, since in practice no pictures can come out of it with that resolution, having "41" instead of "38" is just a marketing move. Nokia didn't use it on the N9, whose sensor has 8.7 MP but is advertised as only 8: the biggest resolution that can come out of it.

good quality...but is it right to see only one part?nokia should open a cam branch (which help them to focusing on phones)i again said its nice pics but it comes due to much pixel details any phone having 41mp or more gives quality (especially when other was on 8 or 12mp)hence again(n8 case) nokia won due to QUANTITY NOT QUALITY otherwise nice pics

Even though I feel lumia 900 is a really beautifull phone.... Its just not enough to compete against one x and sgs3( even though i hope it turns out to be a super flop)....41mp is the fitting and crushing reply to the competition.... So if they going with window... Nokia should bring them together...asap Lumia pureveiw windows8.. The big daddy

We'd say that the full-res samples are about as sharp when viewed at 100% as the current best cameraphones. The thing is there's three to four times more pixels on the 808 PureView.
Sure there is more pixels but the amount of detail is a LOT less than 41 mp. Just wait until someone posts resolution chart samples.
I don't see anything "splendid" in the dynamic range.
And unsurprisingly the large pics were taken at ISO 64 to 80 in ideal lightning conditions.

Nokia proves yet again.... You don't need dual core quad core android value packing..... Multiple versions of a same device patent wars a rectangular phone with a big screen with single hardware key to attract customers its a camera phone with smart. Phone features dont compare it with smartphones having camera feature
