Developers failing to optimize these apps coz the way iOS is built. Maximum optimizations they can do is achieving half the performance of a weaker(SD855) CHIP since they can't change around how iOS works fundamentally. Those same developers don't suffer rigid restrictions on Android coz of its open source nature, hence the apps end up being better optimized on Android.

Developers simply can't optimize an app for a inferior OS no matter how good the hardware. THIS is why I said, A13 is a beast but bottlenecked by poor co-hardware and iOS itself.

Cross platform apps are the way to go. Developers aren't able to optimize those apps for iOS coz of the rigid prison like ecosystem of iOS.

Translation : iOS is the bottleneck.

It's more of developer issue than being the fault of the OS. When the developers chooses cross-platform design, performance suffers. They should code native for full performance using iOS' Metal.

This is the reason why comparing non-native apps between different platforms were a moot point.

Nothing to do with heat dissipation.

Tons of other things explained all over YouTube showing how iOS is the biggest bottleneck to the potential of the chipset.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2020??? What can't you do on iOS. iOS can multitask just fine.Well it depends. I have an iPad Air once and gave it to my sister after a month. For instance, I like to write documents while researching and thought that an iPad Air is the most convenient choice but, oh boy, it wasn't. I remembered that it can't sustain 4 Safari tabs opened without the other one reloading while Pages is on the background. I then checked the logs and voila! Lots of out of memory logs. Lol.

I liked how iOS handles OOM situations well because if I'm using Android with 1GB RAM, I would've seen apps force-closing instead of just reloading.

There's still a huge disparity with Bionic and latest Snapdragons in terms of raw power, software and hardware integration.

The problem with iPhones were their poor thermal dissipation capability which limits the SoC's full power on long sustained loads. On iPads that also uses iOS, the SoC can do long sustained peak load due to a much better heat dissipation.

iOS does ruin the maximum capacity of the A13. Also...

Apple revealed the potential of the A13. But... Only if the chip is cold. And a short burst.

Apple has no cooling. And once it starts warming up. The A13 throttles pretty bad. For every equation. The A13 takes an average extra time of 13 seconds for a 1 minute equation when hot. That's quite a bit of throttling.

Therefore to place a chip capable of gaming. But to add a mere 60hz screen and just 120hz touch sampling... With no cooling. Is either overkill for WhatsApp... Or just to delicate and poorly thought out or simply not designed for heavy gaming. So apple... Until they build a proper gaming phone is simply a waste of time.

I still prefer the 855+ over the A13... And the 865 kills the A13.

The X60 5G modem, as the name suggests, is a module that is used for 5G data communication, it is not an SoC. Phones don't run just on the X60 5G module alone.
The announcement on X60's design was just released this week, with the X55's just hitting the market in 2020 and here you are talking about X60 going into the mass-production phase already? Did you even read about Qualcomm's statement on X55 and X60?

Next, you are trying to justify that Andriod counterparts are ahead of the finfet architectural game when it's evident that Apple has already green-lit TSMC to start producing the A14 SoC (based on the 5nm) for this fall. Whereas the SD865 is still based on 2nd generation 7nm+. And Qualcomm usually announces their next-generation SoCs in the Nov/Dec period.

Also, if you had ever bothered to do some reading, Qualcomm has already released a press statement that the X60 modems are also to be used in iPhones slated for 2021.

So stop making a fool out of yourself with all these unsubstantiated hate comments on every Apple-related news without prior reading.
