Huawei and... moreI saw some videos of the 8k on the Samsung S20 (Ultra), and it was absolutely magnificent. 8k downscaled to 4k would be a lot more detailed and have even lesser noise (and theoretically better colour information).
Plus it also has 4k video with a different newer and larger pixel (1.8 micron pixel) sensor, when you just want better 4k.
Samsung has 4k, about 3-4 years before Apple. Having higher video or photo resolution isn't a bad thing, if the quality of photo of video is good.

I dont look price i look the design and its the best who want to buy that phone can buy it second hand like new and alot lower price ... if it had 90 or 120 hz would be perfect phone

Maybe Samsung ha... moreWell like i said before just because its 108 mp dont mean its better but i will tell u this for the last 5 years sony cant touch samsung with camera software and honestly i have seen them used them my brother buys all the xperia so i can see them first hand since the xperia z z1 z2 z3 z5 z5p and so one not one had better cameras then samsung or at least software made samsung better i can talk because i buy the s line so often but i have every note which its based on same hardware and no chance i mean no chance at all.... Ill tell u this sony had a great chance with the xz3 to take over that phone was beautiful again over priced and lacking ram and storage but had some nice goodies samsung edge panel that one had a great chance to be the best of the best and then what happened sony brings the xperia 1 and changes to 21:9 not everyone likes it removed wireless charging and askes fro $1000.00.... im sory my opinion sony is done

Maybe Samsung has this 8K record resolution but how much time can hold before get's to hot no one knows right. Let's agree on that, youtuber's will test the device's and we will see how further Samsung goes but something tells me that still Xperia maybe comes as surprise with exellent camera. Tell me honestly if Xperia is on par with Samsung camera what will be your troughts then. I'm not attacking you just asking? I hope price will be at 950 euros. When Xperia 1 released last year in my country was 870 euros but claims were saying that it will be 1000 euros and at the end it wasn't.

so in the end only Samsung and Sony can make light flagships. I'm liking the relatively good weight here. 21:9 is awesome format, have wide rounded monitor and it's fantastic & better than 2 monitors.
but looking at current prices, this is an expensive brand for show. Perhaps I snatch a second hand one as people will be swapping it with OP8 etc. X1.1 can be the flagship of the year, unless OP8T brings no notch + wireless charging.

Based on your comparison logic, then samsung actually has a better package with a lot better hardwares, better user experiences, photography. I also can say that i dont need 256gb of storage as 128gb is enough for me as well as 120hz vs 60hz makes this all a tie.
Or it is really a tie? Im not even compare about the battery and charging yet. And also about the price i already mentioned above

Huawei and... moreIts not gimmick dude they shoot the resolution and they showed it off u can actually play it on a 8k tv and u see the difference....i understand u guys like sony but this was expected i told someone before the sony press that they would mess up somewhere there were no leaks on 8k recording there was nothing saying it would bring alot of ram or storage i mean my asus rog phone 2 is rocking the 48mp camera from sony i mean u have it and u didint use it......Its like to me the gimmick is the 4k from sony only when watching movies and netflix thats a gimmick i want it all time 4k or the bat before this one didint last for nothing

Like the guy said before if im spending top $$$$ i want top specs and the S20Ultra has it all they offer it all not just 8gb of ram and 256 they offer from 12 to 16gb of ram and from 128 to 512 i mean i want to get the best of the best S20ultra it is enough said

I kno u dont need that much ram but its there they make it they offer it they dont hold back they give u options thats my biggest point..... u get big bat alot of ram and storage they let u choose and u run UFS3.0 which is standard now a beautiful screen with 120 hz refresh rate and 40mp front camera there is no losing here for samsung....My biggest thing is they are the camera kings and dont offer 8K camera

When comparing the + to the 1 mark ii, Sony actually has the better package with better software, audio experience, and videography. Samsung wins in photos but display and 128GB UFS 3.0 with 12GB RAM vs 256 UFS 2.1 with 8GB of RAM is actually subjectively close. For example, I don't need 12 gigs of RAM and 2.1 may be fast enough for me as well as 2K high refresh rate vs 4K makes this all a tie.
