Most people complaining has the Exynos version.

It's always the case with galaxy S phones, the software is not ready at launch and camera/battery life gets better over time, and bugs are fixed of course.

The periscope of Ultra uses PDAF .
It does not show same issues of main camera.

It can be software or hardware issue.

Others don't even have a lot to begin with, and even if there were some, they don't take more than 3 months or so (at least it is for the flagships).
And no, Samsung can't do it in just under 2 months. S10's slow fingerprint scanner took no less than 4 months before getting fixed, and even so, it still isn't quite as fast as the competitors. Don't even talk about the Pixel, their issues are related to hardware, not the software. LG is at least getting better with updates, but they don't even have a lot of software issues when launching their phones. Xiaomi takes 3 months for every update, but they could go as early as 1 day if there's a serious software-related issue with their devices.

The bottomline here is, these software problems of the S20 series shouldn't be happening if Samsung took extra time and effort to polish their software before officially releasing the products. Good thing it is just software and not hardware like on the Galaxy Note 7, otherwise it would be so fatal to them.

People should learn not to buy a smartphone upon it's release and give it couple of months and wait for 3 things: Reviews, Price drop, and software updates (bug fixes..etc)
and some times a recent batch is better than the initial that might have some hardware flaws!
