wechat and whatsapp worked fine but for other western apps, you had to set i. auto start app to on (in phone manager / security app) and in battery settings: ii. background running to on iii. freeze if abnormal battery usage to off and iv. energy saving disabled "Per app" basis.

In newer color os, you can find these settings in one place (app info) and these 4 steps are have been merged into just 2 options on same screen.

AnonD-908380, 20 Mar 2020I heard about Honor and Huawei having the same issue.Huawei and Honor are fine if you choose the right options in the settings. I've had no problems with them. Oppo also has delayed notifications though for certain apps like Whatsapp even with full permissions given

Considering what they did with the K30 Pro, they deserve it !
A smartphone without curved edges, no notch or punch hole but a true fullscreen design.
SD865 with lots of RAM and memory but at a decent price, quite low for a SD865 flagship specs smartphone.
Audio jack, Always On Display, Underdisplay Fingerprint scanner, amazing cooling.
UFS 3.1, IMX686 (maybe 2) 2 main sensors with optical stabilisation, 3x optical zoom, 8K video.
Many Satnav and 1m precision protocols, NFC, big battery and fast charging tech...
For many it is THE or almost THE perfect phone.

Considering that almost allother SD865 Smartphone are basically copy/paste of the same punch hole, no jack, half of the time curved display, some lacking optical stabilisation and optical zoom while costing an arm a leg and a kidney...

Just for this phone alone they deserve to be N°1 !
I am glad a phone maker who finally do different design from the usual is growing (well I know that it is actually Huawei who is shrinking, but is still mean more market share for Xiaomi) and I hope they keep going on that road !

I just hope the USA won't do it again, as a someone from the rest of the world, I am tired of the stupid things the USA do and which impact the whole world negatively.
Or that Karma strike and while the USA complain about Chinese spying, that a huge leak of really compromising scandals of USA tech spying even more than China explode in popularity, for once if rather than everyone seeing them as the hero while they do even worse than those they point their finger at, they get exposed, it will feel so good !

For devices to be sold outside china they should have used snapdragon processors and opened their firmwares for inspection so that no one could say there were backdoors and such installed in their devices.

Now Xiaomi is going to eat their lunch.

Anonymous, 20 Mar 2020This problem is only with XiaomiI heard about Honor and Huawei having the same issue.

Samsung should learn from Xiaomi in terms of pricing their products. In the next few years, maybe we'll see Xiaomi making it to the top list.

Huawei + GMS + high price => more buyers
Huawei - GMS + high price => few buyers

I'm waiting for the light bulb to come on for Huawei's pricing strategy.
