The iPhone 9 is the natural successor to the iPhone 8, not the iPhone SE.
The iPhone 8 used 2017 hardware, whereas the iPhone SE used 2015 hardware. The iPhone 9 will use 2019 hardware. If this phone is popular, maybe Apple will eventually bring out an iPhone 10 with 2021 hardware, an iPhone 11 with 2023 hardware, and an iPhone 12 with 2025 hardware. Maybe 4GB RAM for the 2021 hardware, 8GB RAM for the 2023 hardware, and 16GB RAM for the 2025 hardware. Hopefully, the 16GB RAM model will be matched with 256GB storage...at least for the base model...in my imaginary world.

Or maybe you keep your phone in box for 3 years and then update? I don't see the update argument validity.. But if I don't like the look of it now then I am sure I won't like it in 3 years time too.

Don't get me wrong, the S10e is great and we definately need more compact designs like it, it simply isn't meant for the same type of audience the newer iPhone is targeted towards. Not to mention the update situation I was talking about earlier.

The S10e will get OS updates for maybe 1 year from now on, 1.5 if you are genereous, the iPhone9 at least for 3 years, looking at the fact that the old SE even got the update to iOS13, probably even 4 years.

Gonna buy this only if vessels are reduced noticeably. Otherwise there is s10e or xperia 5 or even pixel 3, 3a.

Those differences may seem small in print, but in the hand they are not.

If this is the case, then plz come up with bezel-less 5.4/5.5'' iPhne 9 plus with side mounted Touch ID. Therez no way to carry such a large bezel in 2020-22/23.
