11 May, 2012
Samsung says the PenTile AMOLED matrix is more reliable than RGB, that’s why the Galaxy S III uses it.

I'll still go for an LED backlit IPS LCD, didn't like the oversaturated colors and overcontrast of AMOLED when working on graphics related jobs

first zte blade with amoled have a white "hollow" mark in lieu of notification (android 2.2, used white bar instead of black in 2.3.7),
zte blade with LCD have nothing after 2 years of use.

They just mentioning on how it feel at 20+ cm closer distance.

Does the rep says I can throw away my Note after using it for a year or so, because the display will get sh**tier by the day? If that's true I will go back to stone age phones like Nokia 6210 or 5110. At least I'll be worry free and the voice quality will be top notch. No more tweets, just silence.

What's the use of using a material that lasts longer if they'll just release a newer galaxy by next year?

Hell they might even release later on a GS3+++ with SAMOLED HD on it... tsk

I call this B.S. if this is true then why did my Galaxy S1 show signs of burn in as early as 6 months in but never really got that worse even after 2 yrs. My Galaxy S2 has no sign of burn on what-so-ever even on the AM/PM symbol.

And what idiot is going to believe that a company trying to sell phones is going to choose one technology over another because "one lasts more for the consumer"? That's the most silly marketing claim I've ever heard!

Max, 11 May 2012Pentile will not save the SGS3 from SCREEN BURN-IN or PERMA... morenope, why would you want an lcd over led, have you held them next to each other? lcd looks washed out when you put it next to led. Samsung will always have the best screens on mobile phones.

Lol thanks Samsung, so you're saying your previous phone's screen won't last as long, and the current one is inferior quality.

I read about this when i got my Samsung i8910 in june 2009,but the screen still looks pretty good imo.
I wouldnt worry too much about this.
