AnonD-20358, 13 May 2012600 MHz in the days of multi cores! Lol... Please HTC, don... moreAgreed, putting the name 'Desire' on this phone is bad for the Desire brand. All previous Desire-phones are better than this...

    600mhz is halfe story.
    look on htc wildfire s (600mhz arm11 armv6 cpu)
htc explorer (600mhz cortex a5 armv7 cpu) explorer is more battery frendly and powerful than wildfire.
this cpu in desire c is like explorer or better. In one day bee 600 mhz cortex a15 cpu, that is more power, than now 1.3ghz nokia used arm11 cpu in nokia 808. :D
    Yust start think :)

MHz is not everything, GPU is more important with ICS. It could be a underclocked 1GHz processor that is newer, less battery-draining and faster, even at the same clockspeed.

Basically what they've done here is re-invented the Wildfire S and denied all the existing Wildfire S users the update to ICS. HTC, it's not nice what you're doing... I totally hate companies that want to artificially push new models with an excuse of not supplying new OS update for the existing models. At first it was just Samsung that was doing this, now it's HTC as well. What's next? Buy a phone and pay extra to get a functional OS with it?

the wildfire (original) works crap with froyo on it.
and now they release this piece of shit with 600mhz putting ICS over it? Bad idea. useless phone.

600Mhz?? whoa that seems too low.. even sony, samsung and LG etc. clocks their latest low-end phone to 800Mhz

This phone has the same spec. as Wildfire S... I thing that really good port of ROM with ICS (and Sense 4 ^^) coming soon to our Wdf S :)

But most importantly, this low-spec'd device will run Android Ice Cream Sandwich...

..like crap. 600mhz? That's Wildfire speed, and we know how Wildfire sucked at most things.

and dont believe ther phone will be running by only 600mhz processor,it should be at least 800mhz
                                  waiting for official release

Samsung already has several similar offers at a significantly lower price. Galaxy Gio for one, my sister bought it for under $160 a week ago. It has slightly smaller screen, 3mp camera but faster processor. There's also Ace Plus, which has faster CPU, bigger screen, same camera, and its price is around 220 euro on amazon. HTC's Desire C will have a hard time...

Enough with those 600mhz cpus, google should step in and set the minimums for future devices.
