Gotta love this phone! I am waiting Xperia 1 mark 2 and P40Pro+. Poor display in last one, but if it upgrades (apart from the 10x optical) in photo and video from P40Pro even higher, I will sacrifice the HD+ screen with worse colors and qualities compared to stunning xperia and oppo find x2 pro displays.
It will be between those 3. If they fail I will wait november the mate40pro. As currrent mate20pro user I do love mate idea. Especially the fact it will have both sub6 sa/nsa and mmwave 5G on board, new kirin 1000 cpu and gpu mainboard, and I hope bring back qhd screen (like mine) plus bonus 90 or 120hz refresh rate. Bring back volume hardware keys, keep IR face unlock, keep hardware LED notification. Make 5x optical (mine is 3x). Go beyond 140 points doxmark just like p40pro+ will pass 140. Make a winner entering 2021. If I don't buy the first 3 I mentioned before that :)

YUKI93, 05 Apr 2020An ignorant who never experience Nokia or Microsoft PureVie... moreThe discontinuted Nokia's still have the biggest sensors in a smartphone but the problem with these phones are they are too slow and lack HDR. 808 colours seem to be washed out most of the time, 1020 colour were too green/yellow. Yes you can play with the manual settings but then you will be missing the shot. Neither are usable for your day to day driver now. The only thing I miss from these smartphones is the awesome Xenon flash.

If you want punchy, saturated colors, switch on chroma mode in Settings for the Find X2 pro.

Exmor 582/586 are not smaller version of 686. They are not 2x2 on lens. They are just quadbayer. 686 and 689 are 2x2 on lens.
Isocell HMX is a bigger version with more pixels of GW1. Just a tetracell.
Isocell HM1 is the only nonacell, but besides nona binning it does not do different from the other tetracell.
Imx700 is not 2x2 on lens. It is a bigger version of 600y used last year. The secnd round binning is software based.

Vivo Nex and U12 had same dual pixel used by samsung. Both were much faster AF.
AF can be improved by software.

Hey, did I say anything that suggests that I think X2 Pro has a poor low light performance? Nope. Did I say P40 Pro's night mode is best in the industry? Also no. Why are you bringing them up all of a sudden? And was there a need for a personal attack at all?
Read the flow of the conversation next time you reply instead of throwing me some random topics and insults hoping I will react.
P.S. I see why you were confused, you thought I was bringing up Find X2 Pro out of nowhere. My first comment was a reply to Ashl.

I ag... moreNight mode actually improves footage considerably on Find X2 Pro(which is already excellent to begin with, albeit more noise than Huawei) while Huawei is handicapped by delivering worse performance in night mode. Those cleaner looking noise controlled images result in loss of details compared to Find X2 Pro and S20 ultra. Easily visible when pixel peeping.
But, you will conveniently ignore those shortcomings to shill for your beloved Huawei.

For heavy gamers probably a snapdragon is better but for everyone else there will be no noticeable difference in performance so other features of the phones is more important

performance-wise? no. Kirin 990 falls far behind SD865
software-wise? hell no, EMUI ain't the way to go also no GMS is a problem since some apps just won't run without GMS.
Personally, I would buy P40 Pro if it had GMS since it is much cheaper.
