Well done. I like Spotify and use it to stream music all day. I sometimes use Apple Musc. But since I find a good tool - Spotify MP3 Downloader from AudFree, I use it to download the songs from Spotify. So convenient.

I switched from Spotify to YT Music and even though YT Music sometimes feels like it's still a beta I prefer it over Spotify because that algorithm (personalized mix) is so good on finding new music at least for me it works like a charm.

The desktop client requires you login again every time you restart your computer. The pre-assorted playlist selection is far behind what Spotify and Apple Music are doing. The desktop client and web interface promote degenerate photos and music on your home screen instead of adapting to your musical preferences. There is nothing at all for classical music.
It's like Amazon decided to do a "me too" regarding streaming music, without putting any thought or effort into it. The only benefit is that you get a discount (not free) if already subscribed to Prime, and the COVID-19 debacle has revealed that Amazon doesn't value its Prime subscribe and save customers at all.

I'm one of those proud spotify subscribers for 2 years now. Really awesome app, has so much music, almost everything from the past decade. Playlists, release radar, recommendations, ... streaming quality is really goood.

after paying for spotify for some years. I realized i could have used the money to buy the CDs, make the files and own the files. enjoy the files whenever wherever I wanted.
such streaming service provide instant access to a huge library, at a seemingly low monthly cost. but I would never own the files. as long as the payment is stopped the access is denied.

What makes Spotify special is the unlimited free plan with ads.
That's why they are so far ahead of the others and I hope they never change, maybe even others adopt it as well.
Pandora would also be great if it wasn't locked only to few countries and if it had some on demand action.
The radio algorithm in other platforms is still nowhere near as accurate as Pandora.
