Sony has taken its time to get things done, but they're giving real support to their Xperia line. Something other OEMs should write down and copy as long term investments on relationship building with customers. Making gross short term profit out of handset renewals isn't everything.

software update has always been slow from sony like the x10 when it first came out with 1.6 and was meant to be updated to 2.1 and they keep delaying it.

Arc s got update before xperia s, mainly because ICS for arc s & 2011 xperia phones is kernel version 2.6. ICS for xperia s will be kernel version 3. Sony have been working on version 2.6 for longer time, newer software takes a bit more time.

Sony have updated arc s before arc because it was the new flagship but xperia s is the topdog now and hasnt got ics! So I wish sony would explain why they said the arc s gets priority over the arc and now the xperia s!

rafi, 15 May 2012i really not that excited to get ics os. After seing all my... moreICS runs silky smooth on my Arc S geez and battery life is alot better. There's some of apps that I can get rid of now due to ICS having them built in to plus you can disable apps that keep popping back on. Also if you are running ICS and your device is slowing down check http://www.xda-developers.com/android/full-list-of-removable-bloatware-for-the-xperia-arc-on-ics/ to speed up your device.

Let's face it guys - Google did a sh1t job on ICS - it runs like turd on every device it is put on, including Nexus devices. A bloated piece of junk from Google, that is worse than Windows Vista ever was from Microsoft. Can't blame Sony for that.

AnonD-24543, 15 May 2012Try to remember that all the forementioned devices are sing... moreoffical ICS from most companies are disappointment, hence custom ROM.
XPS has been quite good, despite its 2.3 status, but lack of certain resizeable widgets I use in ICS (G+ for example) and task switcher has been bugging me.
Hopefully we won't have to wait too long by the looks of it. I just hope Sony knows not to repeat Sony Ericsson's X10 stunt

If all of u are facing the bug in ICS after u have been updated, just go to Setting/Backup&reset/Setting reset. After ur phone has been reset than everything will be improved. It is for Sony Ericson model; however, for the other brand , u just find the other way to reset it. everything will be find. :)
