Thanks. Now my LG V20 is at risk because of no security update. My next phone will be iPhone which Apple provides the update at least 4 to 5 years and cheaper in the long run.

I have an LG V20 with 2 4215mAh batteries i get about 10hrs of hard use and the SD821 clock mod runs all cores at 2.23GHz and the Adreno 530 is thermaly uncapped so no micro stutter when gaming which the Adreno 530 is still a viable mGPU. Using Android 10 with all of LG's embedded drivers works great. I got the LG V20 because it was not only the 1st phone to run Android 7 out of the box but, it also had BAND 66 which T-Mobile just recently started using. The LG G6 has it too. BAND 66 is used for pentrating signals through buildings. I get great reception with it. Downloads peak at about 20MB/s. 1080p streaming on You tube is flawless. Having 3CA (3 carrier agregation) works well. I just recently bought the LG V50. I had the V40 but the battery was a little to small for me. So i jumped to the V50. I only paid $300 for the US unlocked version brand new. It has 5G, with BAND 66 and 71. A 3K screen which the V60 only has a 1080p one. It to has a 4000mAh battery just like the V60. The only other difference it size and SOC. The SD855 8s plenty fast for what i do. Olus getting a $900 phone for a 3rd of tge price a year later is awesome. The V40 is still a good buy to, at about $200 . Or even the LG V35 for cheaper. That also has a SD845 with the Adreno 630. Truthfully LG is the only phone for me, cause i'm an audiophile and u live using my Senheiser 569's with the built in ESS SABRE qDAC. When a phone can push a pair of $200-$500 (50Ω-600Ω) cans with no problems. I call that a win-win. Also if you get a LG V35 make sure its the ULM version nit the ALM. They both work pretty well but, the ULM version has more BANDS for GOOGLE's project Fi (T-Mobile) and all other GSM BANDS.

Guy, 08 Apr 2020Why should I buy LG phones again??? They took my money and ... moreThe only reason you have problems with lg is beacause you bought a phone that wasn't a part of their mainstream phone, try the lg g6, you can buy them brand new for around 700 canadian dollars and it is better than the iphone 8 in pretty much every way, plus the camera is equivalent to the iphone x

I am using an LG G6. Sturdy phone with sharp display and brilliant audio. Camera sucks really bad. Looks like OnePlus camera now(not the 7 series ones).
The battery drain is really high on 4G but put it in 3G/2G and it becomes much better. Hangs a lot, I mean a lot and have got screen burn-in issue too. I can see the imprint of my keyboard on any screen/app/page.
Started burn-in imprint of the digital clock too now.

Pixel is the new HTC, 07 Apr 2020Brilliant thinker. I'm always wait for reviews to come b... moreIf I were content with the Nougat on the "world's first Nougat phone out of the box", then all my files would be subject to having their dates/timestamps being modified to the date when you copy or moved them. It was fixed with android 8 / Oreo, years after the problem was forwarded to Google.

Also the V20 tag line about it being the first Nougat out of the box screams buy buy buy to the masses.

They got the time and money to push their products, they should also have the time and money to support them. Not push new stuff that will end up being forgotten too.

If only LG took the time to properly push updates on their phones unlike the messy Pie variant like how they took the time to convince people to buy their all new shiny devices.

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2020So they pretend sell a mid-range phone for 670 or 700 euros... morePrice is not true bro even lg v60 is 800$ last year lg flagship phone lg8s was less than 450 euros so this phone will be below 450$

It's ok to use SD765 if they are going to price it around &$400 but for $720 its just insane and their own V60 cost $800 (if I remember correctly)

LG's strategy has been very strange in these years despite some great phones made.

I would like to see the Q-series to be upgraded to the S7xx powered series instead of replacing the G-series. And the W-series and K-series to be merged into one (either W or K or other names is fine), ranging from entry-level (S4xx) to mid-ranger (S6xx).

Both the G-series and V-series should remain with top (of LG) specs, especially for the V. The majority of people can be satisfied by S7xx phones doesn't mean S8xx phones have no market.

If LG wants to cut cost, unifying as many things as possible is a good way in terms of hardware as less effort is needed for designing different things. If they really think S7XX is enough for most users, they can lower the prices of only S7XX phones but not S8xx phones to decrease the demand of the more expensive S8xx chipsets. Some LG phones are really premium. It's their strategy harms them more than the phones themselves (only the most performant varient taken into account).

I'm always wait for reviews to come before doing OTA update to see if there's annoying bugs happen.

And the most annoying thing is that you can'trevert back.

My iPad mini 5 was on iPadOS 13.3 which a heavy battery drainer and you can't fo anything about it except wait for Apple to give next update. Wished I can go back to 13.1 but you just can't.

My Asus Zenfone 5 can play PUBG on highest setting, but after Pie update I understand there's frame rate drop. Luckily I haven't upgrade so I don't have any issues.

I don't understand the fast update crave that so pandemic... You are not on Eclair go to Froyo which have a tonnes of useful features. Android OS is mature OS and new OS updates will come BIG and burdening your old device sometimes makes it lags or draining. Why are you so crazy about update.

I learned fron expetience, the most smooth experience is out of the box OS that your device come with. Not two updates after that.

Last sample, my HTC 10 on marshmallow was battery champ, on nougat it was okay, and the latter on Oreo was absolute nightmare and I sold it. I hope you understand, folks.

AnonD-926219, 07 Apr 2020LG era ended after G2 and also V20 Series... this is just ... moreSays who? Are you making conclusion for yourself? Okay then.

I'm currently uaing LGv35 and V50S which are stellar phone with amazing built, battery life and amazing audio. The camera isn't the top dog but not far from there and I'm very happy with Android Pie on both phones. They're fluid and smooth, no complain whatsoever.

So, your personal pov is useless to be pushed on other's throat.
